Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

A bed of boilies, pellet and particles worked very well for us, didn't need to overload the swims with bait, we just found the features on the bottom and regularly baited through the week.

Unfortunately our bait boat broke but pva bags and a loose spread of boilie produced just as much if not more carp through the week with a few nice sturgeon off the gravel bars.

Were the facilities what you expected?

From reading other reviews it was exactly what we expected, small toilet and shower but kept nice and clean.

100% yes, great venue with open swims to fish next to a friend, and great sport. Would definitely call it a runs water!

Yes, brilliant help, we were supposed to fish another lake but a week prior to leaving unfortunately there was a virus on the lake. The people at Angling Lines couldn't have been more helpful they gave us the option to pick another lake to fish and they sorted all the details for us and even gave us a £40 refund. Brilliant service.

General Comments:

Good lake. Nice size swims. Too many 20's for the lake.

Details of your catches:

We caught 122 x carp and 3 x sturgeon.

Carp ranged from 13lb to 39.12 with many big twenties and quite a few big thirties. Sturgeon were 2 x 39's and a 42lb diamond back.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All methods worked but snowman rigs caught most. Avoid pellet if you want to avoid bream.

General Comments:

Nice lake, good weather, many fish , Sebastien the owner calls round a couple of times to see if all is ok and if you need anything, a nice bloke. Only complaint was we need a holiday to get over this one, lol.

Details of your catches:

60 fish caught in 4 days of fishing. 8 x 30's & 52 x 20lb+. Mixture of commons, mirrors & grass carp - all in great condition.
