We had 21 runs throughout the week with 17 fish caught which was 15 mirrors & commons & 1 Koi and 1 Sturgeon.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing with 20ft snag leaders and tight clutches and no lost fish due to cut offs. We did loose 4 fish to various other reasons.
We both fished the main swim (did not move) and fished to the bottom of the drop off on the far margin and island, with our left and right hand rod in open water. We caught on all 6 spots.
We used various pop ups / wafters / colours over particles and boilies and all caught.

Yes very nice

Were you happy with them?

We were more than happy. We did not sleep in the accommodation but used it for socialising and cooking / showering etc.

General Comments:

We had a great week and was everything we wanted and expected.
They do have an issue with duck weed but it’s floating on the surface and more unsightly and in no way hindered our presentation or fishing.
If you are not able bodied then swims are quite difficult for landing fish but again not a problem for us and what we expected.

16 carp ranging from 16 to 45lb.

Small pop ups fished over pellet.

Had a great week fishing. The lake is beautiful. Carla and Gerard are amazing hosts who helped to make our holiday special. We cannot wait to return and are looking to go back.

Only 5 carp between the three of us all caught at night because the temperature was insanely hot, still 30 degrees at midnight.

Details of your catches:

Crazy heat during the day made catching hard... but still ended up with over 20 fish, 3x 30plus, lots of mid to high doubles, all fish in pristine condition I might add.
Most landed during the night when lake cools down. Venue is truly beautiful and owners are fantastic and always end of the phone for literally anything you need. Went with best pal and we took the wife's who also loved it, accommodation is real luxury we're not used to on the bank and will definitely be coming back.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Far bank and round island using bottom baits... to add 2 of the 3 30s come middle of Lake!! So try all distances

Better than expected!! Very clean everything works again real luxury on the bank.

Not the biggest carp in France but all carp are pristine and with cooler days would be a shout at a real runs water
