Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Best tactics seemed to be to find the margin drop off and fish at the bottom, as there are a lot of mussels and debris in the margins take a very strong fluorocarbon leader material 50lb worked! (Remember no braid or leadcore) for the sturgeon beds of bait in open water worked.

The facilities were great, clean and comfortable with a lovely decked area and bbq.

We were very happy with the facilities and the welcome that we received from Carla and Gerard who were extremely helpful!

General Comments:

Be prepared for the sheep to turn up at around 18.30 any un attended buckets will have the lids ripped off so be aware they seemed to move on after an hour , also if bivvying up at the top of the slope the steps are steep and can be slippery, the local town is 10 minutes away and has several supermarkets, and is well worth a visit. As I said Carla and Gerard pop in most days and keep in touch by text to ensure that you have a great trip

More than we expected, no issue with solar power or hot water

Clean & tidy, covered porch area. All our tackle and bait were under cover in porch

General Comments:

Absolutely amazing fishery the owners Carla and Gérard our always on hand for advice and help if needed the fishing was hard at times with the fish spawning with the hot weather but still managed to have a great week thanks again to Carla and Gérard

Caught over 30 fish through the week, sturgeon, grass carp and common carp. Ranging in weight from 14lbs to 34lbs.

Used citrus boillies for all catches.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were very clean and had all that you needed for cooking food and clearing up. The bathroom was a reasonable size and the shower was really hot. The double bed was very comfortable.10 out of 10 for facilities

Was very happy with the facilities. Having wi fi was an added bonus.

Yes would most definitely recommend venue to friends and family.

Yes everything went so smoothly from the initial booking, channel crossing booking and directions to the lake.
