As 2 of our friends dropped out, it was just me and Tim. Between us 2 and 6 rods we had 39 fish. 38 Carp from low doubles to high end 30's. 18 x doubles, 13 x 20's from 20lb to 29lb, 7 x 30's from 30lb to 39lb 12oz. We also had 1 x sturgeon weighing in at 38lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Using our boat helped a lot, and having the lake to ourselves gave us a good choice of area to fish to. We found that Mainlines cell bait worked perfect on this lake, along with the bait you buy from Bruno. We only used a small amount of bait this week and it seemed to work best. We had fish everyday, Tuesday was our best day having 10 fish! We used simple bottom bait rigs worked well, along with a pop-up rig on one rod and all rods had bites.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, definitely! The shower was easy to use and actually it was a very good one! When we arrived everything was clean and tidy.

Were you happy with them?

Extremely happy! Couldn't of asked for better really.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, we already have! And we will be coming back ourselves next year!

General Comments:

Had a brilliant time here at Deux ÃŽles, the owner Bruno was so friendly and so easy to talk to. He was very welcoming and gave us some tips about the lake. We are already planning to come back next year! Also happy that I got a new PB of 34lb 8oz (only been fishing a year)!! Overall, extremely happy with everything! The place is beautiful, and Bruno has done a fantastic job! I cannot wait to see how the lake progresses in the future!

I thoroughly enjoyed myself & Bruno was very hospitable and couldn't of been more helpful

Details of your catches:

14 caught up to 45.5lb (grass carp) and a few lost too
Same Koi caught twice in the week which was great
Majority of the other carp in the 30's in great condition and gave some terrific battles!

Wafters - wrapped in the Korda wrap stuff that worked really well.
A couple of others coming on fake corn

General Comments:

Mega hot week, enjoyed the sun. Loads of fish showing especially early mornings.
We love this place, and have booked two more trips next year (hopefully our Wives don't read the feedback)!

Details of your catches:

5 x 30lb carp to 38:04, several 20lb carp to 28lb and several single and double figure carp, 2 x pike on lures to single figures, plus the sturgeon at 38:06.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

CCMoore live system and pacific tuna boilies took the majority of the fish, with a few coming to banoffee pop-ups.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities are brilliant. The cabins are spacious enough for two anglers each, plus large enough to store all of the gear without crowding. Having a real bed to sleep on also made it a comfortable stay. Each cabin also has a fridge for the essentials and Wi-Fi is available for a small fee per cabin.

The toilet/kitchen is very close to the cabins. The kitchen has a large fridge, freezer, microwave cooker and toaster. The separate toilet has an english style loo, washbasin and a lovely shower. There is plenty of hot water on tap.

Were you happy with them?

Bruno made sure that the facilities were spotlessly clean for our arrival. Wi-Fi is an extra should you want it and cost us 10 euro per cabin for the week. We ordered a bait package and this was ready for our arrival. There is a "shop" on site where Bruno stocks CCMoore baits.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Definitely - the lake is still maturing, but the fish stock is superb. Bruno advised that he will likely add some more fish later in the autumn.

Definitely - the Angling Lines system is really easy to use and the communications are excellent.

General Comments:

This was our first experience of Angling Lines and we were not disappointed. We all said that we would have no hesitation in using their services again and we are already working out when we can go back next year.
