Bait boat and boats

Bait boats are allowed. Boats and inflatable boats are allowed, as well as electric motors and echo sounders. Life jackets must be worn at all times when using boats.

General rules

- From the end of November until the beginning of March there is no running water in the facilities due to freezing conditions (although the toilet can still be flushed using a bucket of water). Solar power remains unaffected.

- Drinking water is not available on-site, but bottled water can be easily purchased from nearby shops.

- Only green or camouflaged bivvies or brollies are allowed.

- Bed linen, duvets, pillows, towels & tea towels for the cabin are not provided, please bring your own.

- Please leave the cabin and facilities as you found them.

- The use of high-power electrical equipment, such as electric heaters and air fryers, is forbidden, as they could overload the system and cause a power outage.

- Fire on the ground is forbidden. Only standing barbecues allowed if you wish to bring your own. Cold ashes must be emptied into a garbage bag and taken away at the end of the session. A bucket of water must be nearby to prevent any fire from starting.

- Hunting and swimming are strictly forbidden on the site.

- Site must be clean at the time of your departure and all garbage must be picked up. It is forbidden to throw your cigarette butts on the ground or in the gravel pit, please pick them up. It is also forbidden to wash yourself, wash your dishes or relieve yourself in the gravel pit or in the nature.

- It is forbidden to cut down trees, shrubs or plants.

- Dogs are allowed only if they do not wander, do not destroy the surrounding vegetation or the facilities on site. Thank you for picking up their mess.

- Drug consumption, drunkenness, disturbance or disrespectful attitude towards other anglers on surrounding lakes will cause immediate exclusion without refund, and may lead to legal proceedings.

- Each fish is listed by photo with their size and weight to help us to follow the population. Some of them have tags. Any mutilation, attempted theft or stealing will be prosecuted.

- There are CCTV cameras on the property but video surveillance is active only when the lake is unoccupied.

- We are lucky to have a wild and pleasant site, thank you for respecting the environment and the lake.

- Children (under the age of 18 years) must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Fishing rules

- Only 3 rods per angler, strictly no kill. No rods left in the water unattended.

- Simple hook only, microbarbed only, no barbless. Size of hook between 2 and 6, no smaller hook please!

- IMPORTANT: one rig per rod. We once saw one rig + a chod over this rig on the leader… that’s totally forbidden.

- Mainline needs to be minimum 0.30mm, braid on the mainline is allowed but only with a mono shockleader at the end.

- Due to the presence of mussels in certain areas on the lake bottom, a strong, abrasion-resistant snag leader is recommended. Minimum 15 meter of snagleader in mono size 0.66mm minimum.

- Leads need to free from the line and rigs need to permit the fish to free themselves in case of break off. The rigs breaking strain needs to be less than the mainline breaking strain.

- Leadcore is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN - you could use Fluorocarbon leaders or tubing to replace it (we have some tackle available to buy onsite, just let us know what you need).

- Large landing nets and unhooking mats are obligatory. Mats need to be wet before using. Only rigid weigh slings allowed.

- Fish need to be handled with care, wet frequently and released quickly. Sacks are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

- Home made particle is not allowed at the lake. Only particles purchased on site to be used (to be ordered a minimum of 2 weeks before your holiday).

- Reasonable baiting quantity please, we may take the decision to put a limit on quantity per day at some periods of the year.

- Boilie guns are forbidden.

- Pike and perch fishing is forbidden.

- Bait boats and rowing boats are allowed if you wish to bring your own. Lifejackets must be worn at all times if bringing and using a rowing boat.

- During higher water levels (usually earlier in the season), we recommend bringing wellies - the lowest swim platform may be slightly underwater and so this makes it easier to land fish.

- You give us permission to use the photos of your catches on our website and social media.

If you or a member of your party experiences any issues during your holiday, please report them immediately to the venue owner/bailiff and to Angling Lines. This allows us the opportunity to resolve the matter while you are still at the lake, in line with our holiday Terms & Conditions.

Thank you for respecting the rules.
