All fish caught far bank. Ll on boilies. Cray fish not a problem at all

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes. Basic but perfectly adequate. Beds comfy. Shower warm. Hobs for cooking good and fridge all good.

Were you happy with them?

Yes had a great time. Constant was great came as said hello couple of times. Sent him pics of fish. We will definitely be going back. Supermarket 4 mins away with petrol station.

In a week of fishing caught 23 fish in total. Mainly 40-50lb & 2 over 60lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

I used the owner's ground bait, but used my own boilies. Star baits hot demon as I find this works the best in French fishing lakes.

the facilities were very good. Clean & tidy hot water for shower.

all was good, no complaints.

General Comments:

secure clean & tidy. Local shops near by.

Details of your catches:

17 carp in total (including 2 grass carp); of these the best fish was a 46 pound common carp and I caught 7 thirties.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing to the far margins (not the island); hookbaits were hardened boilies to combat the crayfish plus baited the spots with boilies, pellets and particles. I'm glad I took Constant's advice and fished with snag leaders from the start; there are some areas of gravel bars with a lot of zebra mussels and the shock leaders showed signs of abrasion.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes; very useful having the cabin and shower block reducing the amount of kit needed and providing great shelter from the sun on the hot days.

Were you happy with them?

Yes all good.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, great to have a venue where you can fish and bait as you see fit without worrying about the amount of bait other anglers are using. The fishing was good and I only fished one night as most of the bites were coming during daylight hours. This was despite the sunny weather and air temperatures in excess of 30 degrees for over half the week.

Yes been using Angling Lines for nearly ten years and very pleased with their service.

General Comments:

Very happy with my week at ILOT and the owner Constant was very helpful. I used his baits and they worked well. I have already booked to go again in 2026.
