Seven Carp caught 19lb 8oz, 29lb, 39lb, 39lb 6oz, 34lb 4oz, 34lb 7oz, 27lb 15oz
plus a 7lb 9oz tench

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All fish came from the left hand side of the island fished to the far bank and towards the back of the island. Boilies, house pellets & particle with DNA hard hook baits.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The cabin was very good with fridge and small freezer compartment, power points & cooking facilities plus running water.
Shower room with toilet & sink. Water did stop working the day after we got there, but was fixed with in the hour.
Everything we needed, clean and comfortable
No need for biviy and bed chair

Were you happy with them?

Overall Yes

Yes as it was nice to have the cabin, cooking facilities & running water.

20+ carp and a few bream. 3 x 40lb+, 12 x 30lb+, others 20 and a few smaller ones!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Water was VERY low. All the fish in the margins (5ft from the edge) and most runs 8pm-2am with a few during the day

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities are basic but perfectly functional! Not sure it’s a ‘family’ holiday destination like Vincons, but better than drive and survive!

Were you happy with them?

Absolutely!

The ONLY criticism…… there is a boat provided… but no oars?! I understand people don’t want to pay for the engine, but at least give us oars! You WILL lose fish behind the island and need the boat. Not providing oars means lost fish with gear stuck in them!

Keep it near the edges and find the deeper margins. You’ll 100% need a bait boat as all the fish are on the far and right-hand margin.

Excellent week fishing. Fishing to margins all over lake... fish are superb condition. Owner is fantastic guy, can not fault Angling Lines for this lake, booked again for next year

General Comments:

Fish to far bank and in the deeper hole (lake map in the shower room) lots of bait and don’t fish boilie due to cray fish. Unfortunately I hurt my arm while running for a bite on the Sunday so didn’t take any pictures of fish due to my injury. All fabulous fish I must say. Wonderful place and mostly day bites which was great.
