Details of your catches:
48lb mirror was the biggest fish of our trip. A handful of 30's and a beautiful 40lb 3 ounce mirror, followed by a gorgeous 39lb common, other than that the rest were all upper 20's
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
On the last peg where the out of bounds is to your right
if you look across to the far bank where the rope starts there is a wooden platform that we used as a marker and we literally picked them off from there (23 wraps), the fish were all around the back , hence why fishing was slow all week , they knew they was safe in there and we managed to pick then up on big beds of boilie and maize, make sure you fish on a tight clutch though as as soon as they are hooked they go straight for the snags and get them before they go under the rope
Were the facilities what you expected?
There was nothing wrong with the facilities
Were you happy with them?
I dont know if anybody else was unhappy but i was happy with the facilities, i also think Joanne was lovely and made us all feel very welcome, I really recommend her quiche that she makes from scratch, absolutely delicious!!!!
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
To be honest I wouldn't , no disrespect or anything but I think Phillippe should invest more into la fonte and bring it back to life, more trees more colour , the unhooking mats need replacing and the decking should really have chicken wire on top to stop you falling when it rains and to stop items falling through the gaps....... we were aware that trees had been cut down , but we wasn't expecting so many, it really made the place look very bland and too open, which is a shame really as we felt that we would of caught more if the lake had certain features, also the snag rope really isn't needed, the majority of the snags are round the back , so you might as well lose the rope

General Comments:
Fantastic hospitality
Fantastic food
Just a shame you got rid of the trees as I think the look of the lake is what attracts people to the venue, you should really update your angling lines video on the place even tho you have mentioned it on the review site, a lot of people aren't going to read that.
*Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback, we will pass on your notes to Philippe. We are looking to update the venue video when possible, however it is only the tree line that has changed since it was filmed and for now we have a note on the video to make viewers aware this is the case.

General Comments:
I've not fished at La Fonte before but can say that the trees aren't needed to have a successful week! The negative comments I have seen are rubbish!!!
Snags? Yes the lake has snags as do most lakes, so fish safe and don't fish at all costs. Fish locked up.
We had some good luck with the weather, very hot Sat, Sun, Mon and then thunderstorms for 24hours. the fished switched on.
Philippe, Joanne and Laurent are great people who did everything in their power to make our fishing trip successful and memorable. Listen to Laurent he knows the place very well.
Please pass our my thanks to them all.
Regards Adam, Dad, Foggy and Sid

Details of your catches:
4 x 40s, 9 x 30s, 9 x 20s, couple of smaller ones, 44lb largest. A few bream getting the way
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Boilies, some tipped off with pink pop ups, and some with yellow. Far margin seemed to produce best once we found correct spot. Now tree line has gone carp seem very wary of far margin, most fish caught at night when they felt safer. Very silty from swim 2 up to swim 3.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes very good, we had food package, endless pasta.
Joan is very good and Phillipe as well. Shower facilities very clean and tidy.
Were you happy with them?
Yes
