Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Boilie approach 18mm & 20mm Bottom baits worked best. Bait boats used but don't ignore the throwing stick approach. Essential Cell / Tigernuts / Squid and Plum from Mtechbaits FB Far margins and close to out of bounds area produced the most fish. But don't ignore open water silt spots. (Keep it simple)

Lake was stunning as expected, in a beautiful area surrounded by woodland. The Bathroom looks a little tired and dirty, it would benefit from a deep clean and a freshen up between groups. The food package was amazing Jean-jaques made sure we didn't go hungry all week. Would highly recommend it. *Angling Lines comment* Thank you for your feedback. We have discussed with owner Philippe and he will be revamping the toilet & shower facilities in the closed winter season. He will also ask the cleaners to be more vigilant when cleaning the facilities between bookings.

General Comments:

Overall a great holiday was had by everyone on our trip. The lake is so picturesque, swims 1 and 3 fished alot better than 2 but I guess that's just fishing. Unfortunately the out of bounds area does hold up the fish, if this was some how managed better then maybe swim 2 would produce more as it would keep the fish moving around the lake. The bathroom just needs a spruce up and clean. Both the owner and the cook/baliff are lovely people and are very welcoming.

There were 4 of us fishing, as a group we managed to catch 19 fish, 4 x 40+, 6 x 30+ 6 x 20+ and 3 between 9lb and 12lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

The best tactic seemed to be a tiger nut boilie bottom bait with 2 tiger nuts toppers, this caught 15 of the 19 fish.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The lake was a nice looking lake, the food package was excellent and the chef Jean cooked some great meals, I would recommend this to anyone booking, deffo worth having when you book the lake.

Were you happy with them?

Most certainly, Phillipe the lake owner pops over a couple of times to check in, lovely gentleman and gave a prize for the biggest fish which was a nice touch.

General Comments:

A couple of things that would improve the experience, the toilet and shower wasnt very clean, this needed to be cleaned properly. The out of bounds area at the far end of the lake needs to be removed as the fish had an area they could move into which we didn't have access to.

Details of your catches:

20 carp during the week with the largest @ 56lb 4oz, 2 mid 40s , 2 low 40s and the rest between 17lb and 38lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Small beds of bait using a bait boat to the far margins. Boilies and crushed boilies in the hoppers with liquid attraction. Slack lines and running rigs and the takes were really positive.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Kitchen area was good and a nice seating area outside. Freezers for bait and a fridge in the kitchen. Shower room was ok but could do with a bit of TLC . Access was a bit tricky after dark and better lighting would be a bonus.

Were you happy with them?

We were happy with the facilities and it was nice to have our evening meal prepared by Jean Jacques who didn’t disappoint with his hosting and culinary skills. Any comments which may look negative are only suggestions and they would not stop us returning.

100% ! Good food, good fishing and excellent hosts Jean Jacques and Philippe.

Really good trip and our average sizes of fish were amazing. Couple of PB’s broken too.

Over 30 carp 1 catfish 2 x 48 lb 2 x 46lb the rest between 15 and 35 also king of the lake 160lb catfish

Far side tight against bank Little but often with the bait Keep trying different baits as the seem to like most
