40 fish caught between 3 anglers ranging from 6lb to 51.13lbs including 5 forties and plenty of thirties

Boilie and pellet mix on all rods with various hook baits. Pop ups, bottom baits, snowman rigs all catching. Most successful bait being tiger nuts

Excellent pegs with slings and unhooking mats. With nice kitchen diner for meals. Meal package from Jean Jacques.

Were you happy with them?

Pegs roomy and tidy. Easy to fish from. Meal package was excellent. Always too much food for the three of us and cooked perfectly.

Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice social lake with opportunity for runs and decent fish

Can’t praise Jean Jacques highly enough. Excellent food and plenty of it. Every meal was different and enjoyable

We had a good haul, a mix of weights 55lb 2oz being the biggest, had 8 x 40's out around 25 x 30's and a few 20's

We had the full food package which was excellent value. Our group had 1 who had certain dietary needs which the cook was happy to accommodate.

2 anglers in swim 1 and 2 anglers in swim 3. Swim 1, 9 carp and swim 3, 10 carp. Total of 19 between us, biggest 41lb. 3x40’s, 8x30’s, 6x20’s and 2 doubles.

Tiger nuts and wafters as hook baits, crayfish were present

The venue was quite run down when you compared it to pictures from its heyday, originally had swims on both banks and a stalking section in what is now out of bounds!

They were functional and plenty of hot water for showering

General Comments:

Current and up to date pictures of facilities and the venues would give us a better idea of what we’re getting. The peace and quiet was spoiled by locals using an angle grinder to cut metal at 1.00 am on two consecutive nights, and tree surgeons destroying a forest into a shredder (whole tree trunks) filling several articulated lorries from 8.00am until 12.30 midday on Friday! *Angling Lines note* Thank you for your feedback, we will discuss with the owner. The old lake layout mentioned was many years ago now and we can confirm that all descriptions on our website and lake photos are taken since and correct. The facilities were renovated in early 2022 and the photos on our website of these facilities were taken after renovation.
