We caught from the off and fairly steady, unfortunately lots of small carp sub 15lb we did eventually get amoungst the better fish and had fish of 27, 31, 35 and 29..

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Anything really but bigger snowmen baits could help avoid the smallest carp..

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were great the whole place is lovely quiet and peacefull everything was spotless, the gite was lovely as was the swimming pool area... very nice couldnt had asked for more...

Were you happy with them?

Yes i would,

the small carp are the only problem as they are very small, .. the bigger fish are in there its just getting past the small stuff , but tony and kim are great and have plans to remove the small stuff, which will make this a very hard venue to top as it is a lovely place

Yes ive used angling lines twice in the last 2 years and am currently looking to book another with them no fuss no problems..

General Comments:

Tony and kim were great very friendly and helpful we were left to get on with our holiday but they were there if we needed anything..

And once those smaller carp are netted it will be a difficult venue to beat if your looking for a family trip with the chance of big carp or a couple alike having the luxuries of the gite pool and jacuzzi as well as fishing on the doorstep..

Ive made plenty of points about the smaller carp but it really is a lovely place with great fishing and as family location, we have said we would return again in the future..

1 angler, 54 fish up to 33lb, temperature up to 42 degrees for three days and still caught

The new gite was excellent, everything you needed and only yards from the lake

This was are second time at Landes and as long as I can book when we want to go I cannot see us going anywhere else, this facility is brilliant. Spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a week away, Tony & Kim are always there to help if you need them.

Details of your catches:

Fishing very difficult due to hot weather. A fair few small fish as the big ones didn’t want to play. Tony has a plan in place to net the lake which will be a great improvement.

Bottom baits 18mm blow back rigs

General Comments:

Tony and Kim perfect hosts couldn’t do enough to help. Tony went out of his way to help me hire replacement bait boat after I short circuited mine.
Pool and hot tub superb, grounds immaculately kept. Perfect platform outside the gite to fish from.
The tree outside the gite is a godsend especially with the fantastic hot weather.

Details of your catches:

Not a great week for fishing but they spawned on Saturday weather very hot 33 on sunday and Monday dropped to 13 on Wednesday between us caught over 40 carp 1 over 40, a couple over 30 and some in 20’s but way too many around 10lb including several under 5lb

You can catch fish anywhere but the big girls didn’t want to play

Tony and Kim have down a great job good looking lake with no issues the facilities inside were spot on great bathroom and well equipped kitchen, bedroom 2 let down by having no window, pool area better than any I’ve been to

If you want a great holiday in a great location yes but maybe not due to the high ratio of smaller fish
