Two anglers caught lots of carp from low doubles to 38lb, we didn’t fish all the time due to hot weather.

Bottom baits on multi rigs any boilies work, trout pellet also.. small bags work well.

Yes we would recommend this venue the lake owners are lovely people nothing is a problem to them at all. We have re booked already for next year. My grandchildren loved the holiday the pool area as well as the accommodation is fault less.

Details of your catches:

Fished days only from 10am to 10pm, caught 45 fish, 3 30's, 3 20's and loads of mid double commons and mirrors.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Started by using a baitboat loaded with pellet, boilies & particle, caught almost immediately. After a day I went over to using a single tuna bollie with PVA bag of pellet with tuna glug and caught just a many fish so continued with this method so as not to run out of bait.

Were the facilities what you expected?

it is exceptional. The accommodation is spotless and has everything you will need. You have the use of the swimming pool and a jacuzzi on your patio.

Were you happy with them?

Owners 5*, accommodation 5*, lake 5*, fish 5* hopefully this will tell you all you need to know, it is worth every minute of the long journey

I've already recommended this to friends and will hopefully be back next year if there are any dates available

Just book it, you will not be disappointed

Details of your catches:

only 1 person fishing throughout the week and managed to caught 35 fish. The was only fishing parts of the day as well as the temperature was 30+ degrees.
Biggest fish caught 33lb 1oz mirror, followed by 31lb mirror. 11 x 20lb fish caught and numerous fish between 6lb & 16lb also caught.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

I went for the simple approach and fished a single boilie bottom bait with a size 6 hook. Boilies and pellets were brought from the lake and fish were caught on all flavours of boilies.

Were the facilities what you expected?

No, the facilities were far better than what I had ever imagined. The photos really don’t do this place any justice, it really is one stunning place, not just to fish but to also spend relaxing.

General Comments:

This place really is a little gem and the photos really don’t do this place any justice. Its not only great for fishing but also for just relaxing and that is all down to the daily hard work put in by both Tony and Kim, and what a couple they are too, they go that extra mile to ensure that you have the best stay possible. Thanks Tony and Kim for everything you did for us.

Details of your catches:

1 Angler, 74 Carp and 1 black Bass. 6x30’s, lots of high 20’s and loads of hard fighting double figure commons. Largest fish of the week was a 35lbs 8oz mirror, largest common was 32lbs 6ozs.

An incredible week of fishing, especially when I did not fish at night, and fished a few hours in the morning, and about 5 hours in the afternoon early evenings, this was due to the high temperature 34 degrees on some days and lightening storms at night. The fishing was manic, getting a number of takes on the drop, I couldn’t get three rods out at times as every time I tried to get the third rod out, one of the other two would go screaming off ...... absolute madness ...... but I loved every minute of it.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Seriously, every bait I tried worked, majority of fish came from margin spots. I used various baits as I wanted to slow things down and get into some of the big girls in this amazing venue, but no matter what bait I used, something was straight on it.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Tony and Kim have obviously worked extremely hard to have an amazing complex. Everything you could ever want is at this venue, the pool was a god send in the hot weather, there is also a hot tub and free enterainmain from Cerano and Lucky (the Peacocks), funniest animals ever, the antics of these two had me crying with laughter.

Were you happy with them?

Anyone who finds fault it’s this venue is purely nit picking, it’s everything an angler and their family could ever want. Tony and Kim have ongoing projects as far as they are concerned, the venue is not yet complete. As far as my and I are concerned, it was an amazing week, everything about the venue is brilliant.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

100%. It is a long drive 7 hours, but worth it, we travelled on the night ferry to Caen and had a cabin, had a good nights sleep prior to the drive. Should have caught the night ferry back as our afternoon crossing meant we had to leave the venue early on the Saturday morning.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Always.

General Comments:

The first netting of the lake will be at the end of this season and I am sure it will be a serious big fish water. Until then, going this year, go and have fun and enjoy an amazing venue even though I did not land one of the big girls, it was still an amazing venue and if I can catch carp to order so can you, you might even be luckier than me and bank that big 60. My advice is book this lake while you can, soon to be one of the jewels in the crown of angling lines.
