Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing one rod tight to the far margin and two rods half way across the lake. Flurocarbon Ronnie rigs size 6 and fluorocarbon turbo german rigs size 6 fished over a carpet of house particles using nutrabaits 15mm trigga popups, sticky baits peach and Pepper 16mm popups, nutrabaits 15mm white spice popups & nutrabaits 15mm Big Fish Mix salmon caviar & Black pepper popups.

Great facilities, super clean. Loved the hot tub.

Details of your catches:

18 fish for the week from 20-50lb
The fish were in perfect condition and both of us caught our PB's - Sean @ 36lb 1 and Cain @ a whopping 50lb 12!!
My particular favourite was the white and yellow Koi @ just over 19lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Most of the fish were caught close to the margins. We used our bait boat which give us access to far margins and used a fair bit of the carpet feed purchased on site. This week mainly fish based boilies worked for us.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were excellent and allowed the wives to chill out and relax whilst we fished.

Were you happy with them?

Tony and Kim could not do enough for us and although the weather was a little up and down Tony was there to offer advice if you needed it. They are really genuine couple who want you to have a great time and catch lots of fish !! We can't recommend them highly enough!

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes - we are talking to family and friends about a return trip at some point next year all being well

Yes - Angling lines made the whole process simple and were quick to respond to any queries that we had.

General Comments:

This is our 5th time to Landes and it never lets you down, Kim & Tony are very welcoming, the grounds are pristine, I would highly recommend this venue.

Details of your catches:

Two 40s out, 42lb common and a 47lb mirror (new PB for me) 38lb mirror, 36lb common, 34lb mirror, 32lb mirror, 22lb common. And a few of the smaller carp.

Marking spots and regularly baiting with the particle supplied on site.

Better than expected the lake and venue is well looked after and regularly maintained.
