Laroussi gives the Johnson family a fantastic weekâ€™s carp fishing!, 1st Jul

Dave, Janet and Dan Johnson have just enjoyed a truly fantastic week’s fishing at Laroussi taking mirrors of 73lb 7oz, 51lb 7oz, 45lb 4oz (fully scaled), 44lb 5oz, 43lb 8oz, 39lb, 37lb… commons of 26lb 3oz, 18lb, 17lb 4oz, 14lb… catfish of 64lb… crucian carp of 5lb and a fantastic new French and lake record tench at 15lb 3oz!

Here’s their comments; ” Mehdi is a great host and willing to give info if needed but otherwise we were left alone to enjoy the fishing. 73lb 7oz, what a fish! Caught on 2 x 15mm Rahja and Laroussi partiblend and Korda hook n°6. The 15lb 3oz Tench was also caught on Rahja spice fishing at 60 yards.”

12lb 4oz Tench!, 1st May

69 carp out this week and a new lake record tench at 12lb 4oz.

Here's the tench info; Mr Adrian Manks Caught from Le Chene at approximately 40 yards onto a silt/sandy bottom. Bait: 15mm Rahja Spice tipped with pop-up corn. Hook: size 6 T-6 Raptor. Hooklink: 15lb Mantis Dark. Korda lead clip and 2oz flat swivel pear lead.

Laroussi latest stocking news!, 1st May

There is a new addition at Laroussi and it's a little smaller than the usual leviathan residents! No it's not a carp, nor indeed one of Mehdi's giant vegetable, but Caroline has given birth to a beautiful healthy baby boy, weighing in at just over 9lb.

Mehdi says he simply could not be happier at the addition of a little brother for Sohan, whom they have called Ismaël. So for those travelling out soon, make sure your sunglasses are ready as Mehdi's brilliant smile is bound to be even bigger!

So a heartfelt 'CONGRATULATIONS' from all of us here at Angling Lines and I'm sure the hundreds of Anglers who know Mehdi personally.
