New lake record fully scaled!, 1st May

Mr Fisher has broken the lake record of the most beautiful Laroussi mirror, a stunning heavily scaled mirror called "The Fully Scaled" at 45lb 15oz. This famous fish normally only comes out once or twice a year so it was a real surprise when it put in its second appearance in a week!

Tony Armer was the lucky captor then at 44lb 12oz.

Lakeside chalet now available to hire at Laroussi, 1st May

New for 2010… you can now hire a chalet right at the water's edge which sleeps up to 4 anglers. For anyone who’s been to Laroussi before this chalet was the owner's chalet before he built his new house.

Big fish time!, 1st Apr

Congratulations to Paul Cummins on his 71lb 12oz mirror, Patrick smith for his 63lb 9oz and Mr Sawyer for his 62lb and his wife's 54lb!

I believe the smallest mirror caught since February is 34lb!

Well done too to Mr Fisher. He beats the lake record fully scaled at 45lb 15oz.

Is this a record â€“ 3 x 50lb+ carp in 24hours for a lady angler?, 1st Apr

Amanda Groves certainly showed her male colleagues how to fish Laroussi on a recent trip landing 3 x 50lb+ carp in 24hours!

Amanda takes up the story; Arriving at this venue for the first time, we were all taken back by how lovely the lake and surroundings are. However, being the only girl amongst 6 male anglers, I knew I had my work cut out!

After we picked ours swims (I got La Pointe) I decided to let it rest until the evening. I then baited up a small beds of baits consisting of Laroussi partiblend and sweetcorn. My first rod went out and at 4am I landed a fantastic 54lb mirror beating my PB by 14lb... then my next rod came in at 52lb mirror followed by another 52lb... all in less than 24 hours. Not bad for a girl!

I went on to catch several more fish... a 48lb mirror, 24lb and 18lb grass carp and a couple of tench. What a fantastic week we had as my fellow angler also had a 73lb lake record sturgeon, a 38lb mirror and a huge 62lb mirror!
