General Comments:

Medhi top bloke and host. Medhi has got a great lake and manages it perfectly. The swims are always neat and tidy. It's been our 11th trip there and we'll be back again soon!

General Comments:

Frustrating week, impossible to fish at first as could not keep rods out due to complete wipeouts from sturgeon and what we think was trailers. Had to reset my rods 22 times on sat night alone and on 3 occasions all rods were wiped out at once hooks were blunted everytime. Tried everything backleads sailed out, slack lines etc even tried close in but it still happened and that was not where the carp were. For the next few days i only put the rods out after 10pm and they were back in by morning sometimes sooner. Gradually things got better and was able to fish properly from thursday with only occasional wipeouts. The other chaps also had the same problems although not as bad until the end of the week. Still managed 16 carp of which 6 were 40's to 49.10 including 2 grassies of 46 and 42. Laroussi is my favourite water but i did feel like going home earlier in the week. Yes some people enjoy the sport with them but my personal opinion is the majority of people go there for the fantastic carp the lake holds and the sturgeon spoil it especially when they are this active. A few trailers have been discovered with poor rigs attached recently so as much as mehdi prefers to trust people checks are going to be made. Also just like to add to the dirty scumbag who threw a carrier bag full of excrement over their head on le borleo it caught the barbwire fence and was still hanging there. Despite the problems I had I will still go back as its a atmospheric magical lake with equally fantastic fish and owner who as usual was helpful pleasant and a pleasure to talk to. All swims were tidy never saw as any rodents at all. I still believe this is one of the best waters in france and the fact i still want to go back after the problems i had says it all. **Note from Angling Lines** Sorry to hear about the frustrating time you had with the sturgeon in the lake, it seems like a combination of things turned them into a nightmare for the week. Medhi is looking in to what he can do about this however this is by far the most active they have been in a long while and they do not usually cause such problems. He has also dealt with the plastic bag!
