Bait time was earlier morning and night. I only fished from 7.00 at night till 12.00

As above but my advice liston to Ray. He is worth getting weight in gold
And a top bloke. Word of warning these fish are a hard
Fighting fish and very powerful.

Better .and the shower is the best I have seen

General Comments:

This place is one of the best I have been to in France. I will definitely be back again at some point
Took my wife and lad. And we went out most afternoons.
Ray and Caroline are great people. And thus place is going to get even better as the years go by

Details of your catches:

We had a dozen carp, including Mirror, Common and a Grass carp. This included a fish of 48lb 8oz and 3 others over 40lb. Most other fish were 30lb+, the best 38lb 8oz

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Red colour boillies fished over particles worked well, with a longer hair rig allowing for use of a snowman set up.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were excellent and allowed for easy access to the water.

The facilities were modern, well appointed and offered a relaxed environment in which to stay.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

I would recommend La Maniere to a friend and return to there for a future trip

Angling Lines service is very good and as a previous customer I would recommend them to others.

General Comments:

La Maniere is a very nice fishing venue, set in fantastic surroundings and clearly the owner Ray has done a lot to develop the fishery and create an idyllic place to enjoy. The quality of fish is high and Ray was often on hand to help and offer advice and guidance.

All the fish we caught were immaculate.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

15mm Scopex squid wafter tipped with a yellow trimmed down 12mm pop up.
Bated our spots at 11am each day with Rays particle mix and Scopex squid boilie and fished between 5pm - 10am, 90% of fish came between midnight and 10am with the occasional fish in the evening.

I spent many hours early morning watching them show and relaxing at this beautiful venue.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The whole place is just beautiful, so well looked after with lush grass and a lovely picturesque tree lined lake. From arriving at the venue Ray was a great host, making sure we had everything we need and recommending local restaurants and tourist places. The facilities are fantastic and the Gite is lovely and comfy with a great shower. We had a lovely relaxing week and we will definitely return.

We was very happy with all the facilities, we dropped quite lucky with the weather and overall it was a perfect week for myself, my partner and her grandad.

Absolutely we would recomend this venue without hesitation and I already have.

Angling lines and the service they provide make the whole booking and holiday very easy. Once I had looked at the venues and decided on available dates the rest is very easy. This is my 5th trip arranged through Angling Lines and I now wouldnt go anywhere else for a French fishing holiday.

General Comments:

Fantastic week, expected the fish spawning but due to the mixed weather conditions they held off and we caught steadily throughout the week. We mostly brought our rods in through the day and headed off to the local areas including visiting Oradour Sur Glane which is only 40 minutes away and well worth the visit.

The vast majority were caught using house boilies on simple bottom bait, snowman or wafter rigs.

Yes, the accommodation was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the grounds surrounding the lake are immaculately maintained - a beautiful, peaceful location which we hope to return to.

General Comments:

We had a great week! The weather threw everything at us at times, but ultimately settled down and we both achieved new PB’s (twice in a day for me!). The fishing was never easy (we fished daytimes only) but it was certainly rewarding when you got things right.. and the carp fight hard!
