Details of your catches:

Caught loads of fish, wrote down 50+ but I guess I had over 60 . I fished just mornings and evenings most days. Evenings were crazy, couldn't keep 3 rods in the water and I'd had enough by 10pm. Most fish were 20 plus, several 28s, 29s and 30s. Plenty of repeats so I think I had most of them. Some great looking fish, had a lovely koi and a fully scaled that looked like it had never been caught. Grass carp were a bit of a pain (I've never liked them much) but they were active all day.

Best carp was 32lb and had it 3 times in 4 days. Biggest grass carp was 26lb, had it several times too. My daughter had the 26 grass too, for some reason she declined a photo with it.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

I took my own boilies but due to very high numbers of possoin chat I used tigers and the bait boat. Even with just a couple of handfuls per rod I got through nearly 20kg.

Fish were not showing but were clearly in the shallows due to the amount of mud they were digging up.

During the morning it was mainly grass carp, but from 5 or 6pm the carp started feeding and it just went crazy. 2 or 3 fish on at once several times.

Bottom of the lake is very soft clay and it's very shallow so the bait boat worked best. Casting 70 yards with 4oz leads into 2ft of water with a soft bottom isn't a good idea. If I wasn't so lazy I could have set up much nearer the fish and just fished 5 to 10 yds out, but the BBQ, fridge and electric lights kept me near the house.

Watch out for the big snag right in front of the platform, didn't lose any fish but had my net a few times. Looks like an old concrete lampost with steel poking out.

Pool was great, house was lovely rustic France, lakeside area was great. Cat was friendly, but deaf.

Had a great weeks break the pool was great when the weather got too hot. Giles and Sharron were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble

Only fished a couple of hour morning and night, but still had many fish out :
All 20lb upwards
9x mirror carp up to 29.5lb
5x common carp to 27.5lb
7x grass carp to 27lb
5x carp from 14lb to 20lb

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

I used 10” rigs with size 4hooks bait boated out with a couple of handfuls of boilie supplied by Gilles (20mm Rahman spice) . Boilie shrink wrap a must I found Korda super wrap the best.

General Comments:

After a very lond drive I knew in the first 5 minutes of seeing the venue it was worth it the place is stunning. Sharon and Gilies are very welcoming and get you settled in straight away.

I only fished a couple of hours morning and night with my 11 year old son and the lake always puduced.

This is a great place for all the family spending the days round the pool or out to the local village or even a close by water park.

We will definitely be booking again for next year and can’t wait. Thank you for a amazing holiday Mas Bas.

Lost count of the number of fish I had, lots of commons, mirrors and grass carp to mid 30's.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Started the week fishing from the main peg right behind the house but found I couldnt get my rods in quick enough before one of them rattled off. Best tactics seemed to be stalking up near the snags at the top end of the lake. Keep quiet and you'll see the fish. Boilie over the top of a handful of freebies. Nice easy fishing. Yes, facilities were great. Pool is a great bonus, kept the kids quiet while I did some stalking.

Very happy, very clean and comfortable! Everything you would need for a weeks holiday with the family.
