News from Ragon lake

Lake Netting & Stock Check, 5th Jan
This winter we net the lake to remove any excess silver fish. Whilst doing so we ran a check on the number of carp in the lake.
The final count was:
193 carp (including 39 koi carp)
34 grass carp
1 sturgeon
Weights of the carp included:
2 x 50lb+ (55lb & 50lb)
8 x 40lb+ (49lb, 46lb, 46lb, 44lb, 44lb, 41lb, 41lb, 41lb)
22 x 35lb-39lb
30 x 30lb-34lb
21 x 25lb-29lb
23 x 20lb-24lb
