Skylake 6-13th august, 15th Aug

"Just returned from yet another fantastic week at Skylake. The usual and unrivalled hospitality from Andy, Bernie and Rob plus a great bunch of anglers made for a week full of fun and laughter. This trip was the turn for my middle daughter to join me. She was made to feel so welcome by everyone from the minute we arrived and thoroughly enjoyed it, already asking when we can go again.

Although none of the big girls graced our net this time we caught fish from the off and steadily throughout the week with action every day/night keeping us busy.

Annual charity match, 14th Aug

Fantastic week had by all on the match ...over 1 and 1/2 tonnes of carp were landed..Dave Taylor took first place and £2000 prize money with Martin Simmons in second and Stuart Everett and his daughter keeley in third ...fish were caught from all around the lake with all the anglers using the house bait (skylake specials)and a mix of our maze and pellets combo...

Many thanks to munch Baits for providing us with our excellent bait and donating a bait bundle for 3rd prize

Annual Match Week, 9th Aug

The annual match is underway and a handful out last night… nothing big yet but it’s early days... Simmo is in the lead with 4 fish …

Highlight of the week so far is Sam Keene bought along his lads and they have had a go all on their own and banked this very impressive 47lb common which we’ve not seen for over 2 years. They tied their own rigs and rowed their own bait out and landed it themselves before waking dad up in the next swim… well done boys
