Cracking November Session for Owner Andy, 29th Nov

Owner Andy had a chance the fish the lake for the week this November. Here's his results:

'The lads all chose their swims Saturday and no one fancied peg 16 so on Sunday i got 3 rods out (skylake specials 18mm).

I’m using 10” 45lb stiff coated hooklink stripped back an 1” and a size 8 curve barbless ..simple simple simple !!

I’ve had 12 runs, 12 fish upto and including my new PB 81lb mirror our big lady “the pet”

I’ve caught her a total of 6 times over the years but when she was under 50lb and I’ve seen her bring so much joy to anglers who have caught her and made memories for them and new pb’s.

I’m absolutely elated to have caught her again and what a fish she is. Caught on my usual approach.'

58lb mirror, 28th Nov

David Taylor finished the week on a high this morning after banking this solid 58lb mirror. All fish this week caught on usual tactics for the lake. Thank you to all and see you next year!

New PB, 16th Nov

Another pb last week for Richard Payne over on the point, a 59lb common. His last pb was 7 years ago at 54lb from peg 7.

Took all my 3 rods out in the process and I had to respool them all but after shouts of abuse I forgave him as it was his pb ;-)

Well done pal and roll on may for the next one.

78lb mirror, 18th Oct

An epic capture for Victor Mihai with this MONSTER 78lb 2oz mirror from swim 5 on Sky Lake.

"I remember accurately the moment after a strong pull, I felt the impressive weight of a fish at the end of the line. When I brought it ashore, my heart leaped for joy — it was one of the biggest carp I’ve ever caught, setting a new personal record.
