Just myself this time. I caught 10 carp altogether. Also lost two out at range. 3 mid doubles. Couple of mid 20’s but 5 were 30 plus including a 39 beautiful mirror. I know there were also other anglers that caught around the lake this week including a 48lb carp.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Heavily baiting, sticking to advice and local knowledge seemed to be the best advice (including sky baits).

30 plus mirrors / commons and grass carp up to 65lb.

A mixture of bottom/pop ups and plastics mainly yellow.

General Comments:

Overall although the fishing was challenging due to conditions we would rate the venue as one of the best we have been to after fishing in France for over twenty years. Andy, Bernie and Rob are genuinely really nice people and always willing to help when they can. You should definitely listen to their advice on fishing tactics etc.

We made some really good memories with some PBs out and will definitely be returning in the near future if they will have us back lol.

46lb Mirror, 31lb Common, 15 x mid 20's and 3 x 50lb+ Grass Carp.

Stiff hinge with yellow munch citrus pop up particle.

I have been coming to Sky Lake for 12 years, and have never been disappointed. Lovely place, very friendly, can't do enough for you. Looking forward to next year!

Caught 33 carp to 64lb 4oz mirror, including 52lb mirror, several 40lb+, loads of 35lb+ commons, excellent stamp of fish and top quality looking fish.

I fished hinge stiff rigs, yellow and orange pop ups, sky lake boilies pellets and particles

General Comments:

Excellent service, 100%, Andy and Rob are very helpful with advice at the lake and the food cooked by Bernie are the best home cooked meals. I've been coming to Sky for 10 years + and have future trips booked. I couldn't recommend enough, the best French fishing lake in my opinion. Thanks again for a mega trip and to top if off a new PB :-)
