Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Tightly baited areas of small baits, corn hemp pellet boilies, fishing small hooks and house-bait, bolt rig baited by hand, got runs on all three rods just had to swap and change, until I found what was wanted.

General Comments:

My first ever time fishing in France, couldn’t of picked a better venue, not just for the monster carp but the accommodation and food package and facilities excellent. Mark was a fantastic guide, at the start of the week explaining everything about the lake and fish, where to how to etc, make sure to gain all you can from him at the start of the session as they don’t give up easily as you think so listen to Mark and you’ll get on just fine. John also a cracking help when it comes to the fishing side of things again so listen to him. Debbie a great cook would defo recommend the place for a couple holiday as my girlfriend had a wonderful time. Memories I will cherish for ever. Thank you Mark, John and Debbie.

Yes the facilities are great . Mark, John and Debbie and go out of their way with anything that you could need and are really nice friendly people and you couldn't ask to be treated any better

General Comments:

Great lake, great owners that go out of their way to help you with anything that you need. Mark goes out of his way with advice about rigs, bait and tactics, just listen to his advice if you're not catching

One 45lb Mirror called Dolly. Four missed good runs. Done again 🙁.

Plastic balanced corn fished with size 8 hook. Very crafty fish.

Were the facilities what you expected?

We stayed in static van which was very comfortable. Shower very hot and powerful.

Yes very .

Yes I would but you need to ask / listen to Mark on first day to get as much info as possible to help catch these crafty fish. It’s a long drive down but fairly easy directions.

Yes definitely. Angling lines have been excellent at every step of the holiday even including changing our return train crossing as had to return home early. Would definitely use angling lines in the future.

General Comments:

Would like to fish this lake again in the future as a nice well run family lake with lots of huge fish to over 70lb.

7 carp between 3 anglers upto 35lb, the weather did not help it was scorching.

General Comments:

John Deb and Mark were fantastic, very friendly and welcoming. The food package was great, plenty of food deb also adjusted the menu for a fussy eater. John was down twice a day brekfast and dinner, deb was there every day for dinner as well. we met Mark on the first day he done a tour of villafond with some peg and spot advice and then popped down a few times and even took the time to bring down some rigs he uses and explained them to us and how he targets the big fish, top man. So a massive thank u to John Deb and Mark for an excellent time.
