Dom 2 x doubles, 12 x 20’s, 12 x 30’s & 6 x 40’s upto 49.15lb. 1 x Sturgeon 56.8lb. Rach 32.7lb & 40.12lb pb. (Only fished on occasions - when the sun was out :))

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing over big beds of mixed particle & bollies, plus bollies tipped with corn for hook baits. Don’t be afraid to put in a lot of bollies.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes we’ve been before, perfect for our needs. Debbie & John were brilliant in bringing ice packs everyday & keeping batteries charged for us.

Were you happy with them?

Yes very happy.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes & we have done. This is our second trip & are already planning our third. Debbie, John & Mark run a great venue & work really hard at it.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes definitely. Angling lines do a great job in making your fishing holiday stress free. They also ensure that the venue is exactly as advertised.

General Comments:

We love this venue & will definitely be returning, we had the best fishing holiday we’ve ever had this week at Villefond. Hosts are genuinely really nice people, they make you feel welcome & go above & beyond to make sure you have a great holiday, catch fish & it runs smoothly. Debbie’s cooking is amazing!! We can not recommend this venue enough, thanks for having us again.

Two pb's of the 3 smashed upto a monster 69lb 2 2nd visit and loads caught including captain Sherman the sturgeon at 54lb. 50 bites with 25 x 20lb plus carp, with lots of 40's mirror and common up to the monster 69lb.

Cell boilies with a pink pop up on top, snow man rig.

General Comments:

Great fishing, better hosts, very helpful , all advice good , good food and excellent weight of fish

We had eleven fish between us upto 42.8lb mirror.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

To be honest over the week we tried several different rigs and bait etc. We ended up on the villefond rig mainly with pop ups or fake corn in several colours.

Were the facilities what you expected?

They were exactly what you need for a drive and survive. A hot shower, toilet, charging for phones and ice packs available daily.

Were you happy with them?

Yes

Yes but would say you have to be prepared for a challenge.

Very difficult week. 28Lb common within 20 minutes of putting rods in then nothing until packing up when I had a 33Lb Mirror

Impossible to say.

Were the facilities what you expected?

No, they were worse than we expected. Not even a fridge that worked, although to be fair to John & Debbie, they did bring freezer packs each day for the coolbox to try to keep food and drinks cool. They also took my baitboat batteries home each night to recharge them. *Angling Lines note* We fully appreciate that the facilities at Villefond are basic, we apologise that the fridge in the mobile home was out of order during this week.

Were you happy with them?

Not entirely no. We knew that the facilities were basic to say the least but as John himself described them as primitive, I think that that says it all.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

The facilities, definitely not. The lake was lovely but the fishing on this week was too hard to tell.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

I have always recommended Angling Lines but was disappointed to get incorrect travel directions. Luckily. a lovely French Lady knew where the lake was and got her car out of the garage and drove there with us following on. She was a star. *Angling Lines note* We followed this up with the customer and the directions supplied were correct.

General Comments:

Not a great week by any means, but more than made up the next week at a different angling lines water.
