2 in our party had a common of 37+ a mirror of 39+ a mirror of 31+ and a fish known as dorian which was a pb at 49.10
My pal had all 3 mirrors 23+ 33+ and a mirror known as son of max at 46+..

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

I fished mainly margin spots on hard ground with a mix of hemp corn maples chopped and 12mm boilies in the mix too.

My pal fished mainly boilie.

Its a riggy water so pay attention to detail..

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes all as described. Basic but better than most uk waters everything that was needed for a weeks fishing was onsite.

Were you happy with them?

Yes was happy overall with facilities.. we had the mobile home and it was spotless as was the toilet/shower block.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes i would recommend to a friend.. we were visited by the owners and asked if we needed anything and told to call at anytime if we did .. but also left alone to fish.. what more can you ask for!!

Yes Angling Lines is very smooth running and our trip was faultless..

General Comments:

A very nice water to go and fish if your looking to catch big fish this is the one.. obviously big fish arent easy to catch and it wasnt a walk over but we worked hard from the off and both got good results..

We were both happy with the communication and help offered from the owners and Mark is a really genuine down to earth guy.. we were left to feel free to enjoy our holiday but felt we had help at hand at all times had we needed it..

We had battery packs replaced regular in the shower hut for charging and ice packs brought down should we have needed them.. also boat batteries taken away charged and promptly returned early the next morning..

Beautiful lake, lovely surrounding, for the more expierenced angler looking for a challenge.. will be booking again.

No, electric not working

No as I couldnt charge my bait boat or phones

No, food package substandard and overpriced. More rice and pasta and hardly any meat. No tea or coffee provided. The boat is full of holes and sank. I lost a lot of bait and a bucket.

General Comments:

Fish i saw were in good condition, only saw hosts at mealtimes, left early after sinking in the boat. Was recommended to fish middle of lake which was silty, should have fished towards the island as this is where all the catches come from.

*Owner's note* We were not notified of charging issues by any of the five anglers on that week, despite visiting the lake twice a day to deliver meals. We also swapped the battery packs over as normal mid-week. Regarding the boat, if it collects water then it needs turning over and emptying before use, however we have again received no complaints about this from other anglers and it is in good working order this week. If there is ever an issue we urge guests to notify us at the time (we're only at the end of the phone) and we can rectify them immediately.

Very hard week on the lake. We really had to work hard for each and every fish. Balanced bottom baits and chopped down pop ups.
