Best fish 39.12lb mirror, 32.12lb mirror, 35lb cat.

Lost 1 at net fishing peg 1/2 to island, not many fish in my area. Mark seemed to think biggest fish had lost about 12lb due to heavy spawning. 1 of other people on lake did land Arnold at 65.12lb. We had a very good week

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Caught fish on banoffee wafters, tuna wafter, 5 to 8" hook links.

Were the facilities what you expected?

They were ok. Powerful shower good, bad lighting meaning you could not see when dark to shower etc. No 240v power to to charge batteries etc but ok

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes if you like basic shower toilet with no power.
John & Mark were very helpful, John brought ice packs for cool box each day which was very good

General Comments:

Villefond very nice venue but needs some tender care to bring up to date, swims could be more comfortable and power points.

24lb mirror carp and unfortunately lost 2 more fish.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

The best tactics where solid bags with wafter hookbaits. The best advice comes from mark and I strongly advise you listen to his tactics from day one as he knows the lake very well and is a great angler.

Fished the lake on my own and the fish are very wise moving away from pressure constantly - stealth, hidden hooks and rigs are the key.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were great and the owners very consistently helpful and made you feel very welcome, will definitely be returning to Villefond either this year or the following year.

Were you happy with them?

The facilities are more than you need for a serious angler and also the mobile home available is great if you bring your wife/girlfriend.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

I would recommend to serious big fish anglers, a challenging water.

I would recommend to a friend, angling lines are a great company and very helpful.

General Comments:

Villefond is a beautiful venue with some real monsters and is maintained very well with a lot of care and thought about the guests that will be staying at the lake. I have to thank mark especially with the advice he gave me and rigs he showed me to help me catch very helpful and friendly. Be prepared to change your set up these are big wise fish and really will test your angling skills as I found out.

Debbie, John and Mark are brilliant hosts and do everything they can to ensure you have the best holiday possible.

This is one of the best venues in France for us and we really look forward to going each time. Can't wait to be back in November 😎

We caught 11 carp including 3 x 40's to 49.8 & a new lake record 65.8 mirror, unfortunately we lost 4 pos 40's, 1 x 50+ and the sturgeon which goes 60+ at the net

Yes excellent as always, evening meal was great, perfect location to catch tricky rigy carp, well worth a go.
