We caught around 30 fish between 2 of us.....nothing for over 48 hours then slowly catching....

Not really....facilities were adequate but very basic

Had to remove slugs from the shower lol

Unfortunately not....there seemed to be a lack of enthusiasm from the lake owners

General Comments:

We booked this venue after watching a number of hours of blogs...mostly from Mark who I believe Is the son of the owners who now doesn't appear to have an affiliation with the lake. The lake owners Debbie and John were lovely and easy to talk to and the lake itself was a nice place to be although it clearly lacked management....most swims were difficult to cast and a baitboat was definitely needed. Also I would not recommend the food or particle package here....although the food was edible it was not enjoyable and I regret not planning to cater for for myself....the particle was frozen and was brought it plastic bags that fell apart when handled.....overall I feel the lake is over sold.....the catch average was poor and well below what is stated.....I questioned this with the lake owners and felt like the responses given were diversive and vague....I will say that communication with Angling lines during some difficulty travelling was superb (thank you Jo) and I wouldn't hesitate to book through them in the future.

General Comments:

We absolutely loved our trip and caught some really nice fish. I caught 5 that were all bigger than my UK PB of 32lb. Debbie, Mark and John were all very accomodating and couldn't do enough for us. The lake is beautiful and in a nice quiet area. Amazing view of the stars at night as well. We plan to go back to this venue ASAP

General Comments:

Food was brilliant and plentiful, pegs are well maintained, toilet shower clean. Caravan slept 3 people on the last night comfy and clean. Toilet and shower works well. Lake is brilliant, weather let us down half the week.

Nash Scopex squid 15mm wafter over a lot of boiles, pellet and Sweetcorn, baited up on the 1st day and stuck to my spots until the fish showed up. Standard D on a combi rig size 6.

General Comments:

A Thoroughly enjoyable week with mixed weather conditions, hard fishing at times but perseverance eventually paid off. The food package is just lovely with quality food and lovely people.
