100 + fish between 3 anglers (as the 4th angler was not well). Fished all along the dam wall these were the best places.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Used Cell boilies and spodmix with hemp. No need to bait up too much, boilies topped with fake corn, snowman rigs, large corn/maize all worked as well. Son started with 3 rods but soon got tired as too busy. Fish came to all sorts of bait even daughter caught a 20lb carp on float rod in margin.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Great family place, weather was fine and the pool handy for daughter. Found the room with small roof window in the gite a bit 'close' could do with larger window.

Lovely family venue, don't need to spend a lot on fancy baits. Great time all round.

Excellent venue, best French holiday so far, will send photo's, everyone extremely happy.

Only my son fished, he caught 60 fish, average 20lbs, largest 28lbs. He was delighted.

Don't know as he's the fisherman, not me.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Clean and basic in the lodge. Could do with a couple of basic beds as opposed to the sofa beds. Also a plug in the sink. But apart from that it was great and right by the action

Were you happy with them?

Owners were very friendly. The farm and lake are immaculate. The local area for a non-fisherman like me was interesting. The local café is open from 7 am and serves very good French coffee!

General Comments:

A great week, don't let the travelling distance put you off this lake. My son chose it, not so much for the size of fish but the quantity he might catch. It really lived up to expectation. we met other fisherman on the ferry back who'd been to a lake with bigger fish and they'd caught nothing, saying it was too hot!

Details of your catches:

During our week we fished for approx six hours per day, catching fish fairly constantly through the day. Biggest fish out was 27lb 14oz the smallest was around 8lb, with a good mix of mirror and common mostly mid twenties.

I think we worked out that between the five of us, we had banked around 1800lb of fish. We had rain some days, it didn't affect the fishing, they still kept feeding.

General Comments:

We arrived and took our first look at the lake, it looked really great. We met the owner Alice and her mother, both of whom were very welcoming and offering us any assistance we might need. As soon as we were settled into the excellent comfortable accommodation, we got on with the reason for our visit "Carp fishing".

I can say that we had a really good time and thanks to Alice and family for their hospitality, we also had an evening out and went to the "Le Trois Perdrix" in the town. Many Thanks to Ross and Carole and the staff made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble, on top of that the food was superb and very reasonably priced. Carole very Kindly took a few minutes to take a group photo for us to mark our holiday. Thanks also to Angling lines for the professional handling of our booking.
