Approximately 60 fish over the week, which is the lowest catch rate I've had since I first visited Vincons back in 2003. This I only put down to the horrendous weather conditions & unseasonally cold temperatures.

That added to the fact that 3 of the party had never really fished before, but all are now 'hooked'!

Largest fish of the week was a 27lb 12oz Common

All tactics work we'll at Vincons, but no need to over complicate things.

Were the facilities what you expected?

As I've been there on many occasions, I knew what to expect of the lakeside lodge. Still as characterful & full of charm as ever. The family loved it!

Were you happy with them?

Perfect for a weeks fishing holiday and sheltering from the torrential rain we saw!

I would absolutely recommend Vincons to friends and family as I have done for many years now, and hope to keep returning for many years to come.

Mr & Mrs Bouchot & family are always very friendly & welcoming and as before we were lucky enough to sample Mrs Bouchots baking skills.

I can absolutely recommend Angling Lines for your fishing holiday.
From booking to return everything is straight forward & seamless.
We had one hiccup at euro tunnel, which caused us a delay of just about an hour , which was no fault of angling lines, however they stepped in for us & ensured our return trip was without fault.

General Comments:

For me, a weeks fishing at Vincons either with family or friends is a week in paradise & I intend to return for many years to come.

Possibly even for two weeks, dependent on the price! ;)

60 carp. 1 x 30lb mirror. 24 X 20lb.
No night fishing.

Regular feeding with boilies. single or snowman bottom rigs along the dam wall.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The lodge has been upgraded, with a new roof. The Ivy over the lodge is no longer. Its now painted a light yellow. Didn't seem to matter.
So much for camo!!

Were you happy with them?

It's great having a lodge to stay in rather than a cramped bivvie. It's next to the lake. Can fish from your bed if you want too.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Ideal venue for novices and experienced anglers. This was my third visit to Les Vincons. It has never failed to produce. On a fishing holiday I look to catch carp, and that is just what you get.

A great selection of venues over northern France. What Angling Lines describe can be expected.

General Comments:

A perfect venue for anyone wanting to catch a lot of hard fighting carp.

Details of your catches:

We caught 100 carp to 27lb, 43 were over 20lb.

Slow at start due to cold weather but picked up later in the week. Most fish came from the far bank a little noise shy as first week.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Most fish came to raja spice supplied by quest baits, with pva bags of halibut pellet.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes this my third trip here and they have tidied up the gite since last time. It offers more than ample facilities for a week away.

Yes, it is what it is, lots of fish to be caught but nothing huge. A great place to go for a relax and a social without the pressure of some lakes.

Lost count! But I would say easily over 150 carp! Biggest 29lb. Also loads of rud, roach, tench and perch! Only a few of us night fished occasionally cause too tired! My son alone had 25 fish over 20lb!

Simple bolt rig cell Boilies caught from every swim!
