Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Swim 2. Bait boat, on large gravel area or large spread of mixed bait, All fish between 9pm and 9am so making sure to get rods and bait back out through the night to utilise that bite time (as opposed to my normal just chucking the rod back out after a fish cos it's dark and I'm lazy!!) lost a lot more fish than I caught, couldn't work out why. Maybe still some snags as reported previously.

General Comments:

Swim could've been a lot more comfortable if maintained a bit more, I pulled out a lot of old roots and cut back an overhanging spiky bush myself. Also bailiff wasn't there to organise draw and not answering his phone so we sorted swims amongst ourselves, only came round twice through the week (for me that's fine but depends on your preference, some people would want a bit more input from someone with the knowledge of the lake maybe) when he did come round I found it very hard to understand his English. Also the details for the nearest vet on the website were not correct, maybe an idea to have an information board for nearest vets, tackle shop, supermarket, etc. Lovely lake though and not hard to find good spots.

We have double checked the vet's address on google maps and it does take you directly to the clinic, we're sorry that you had an issue on this occasion. We have spoken to the owners regarding the swim draw and they apologise for running late and this will not let it happen again. As stated on the website this is very much a drive and survive venue and there is no resident bailiff at this lake, therefore we encourage anglers to take advantage of the wealth of information available on the website.

Due to several people fishing there was not enough room in the freezer, fridge. Ideally due to the lakes capacity there should be at least 2 toilets and 2 shower.
