News from Deux Iles lake

★★★ Deux îles report to 19th May ★★★, 19th May
A catch report from Danny Banks & Luke Carbutt :
When arriving very early Saturday morning just as the sun was rising we had a good look around the lake, we saw a lot of fish towards cabin 2, but after a little discussion between us we decided to give cabin 1 a chance as we fished cabin 2 last year!!
We spent a few hours with the marker rods finding some potential feeding spots and when we were both happy with our areas we introduced around 5 kilos of boilie onto the spots!
The first day passed with silent alarms and our first thoughts was that we were in the wrong area as fish were still showing towards Cabin 2.
On the Monday we started to see a few more fish towards our spots then around 1pm my left hand rod ripped off out of the blue resulting in a 36.08 mirror which started off the week for us!!
Later that day around 8pm the same rod was off again!! awesome take and fight and the outcome was a stunning 41lb common!!
Throughout the week we had 20 fish between the 2of us! Including 2 at 41lb and a few 30s and rest 20s and a couple of doubles!
Overall the week was excellent and can’t recommend the lake and facilities enough! Bruno is a great host and will help you out as much as he possibly can!!
Can’t wait to return again next year!!!

★★★ Deux îles report to 12th May ★★★, 12th May
A catch report from Adrian and Jonny Russell :
We had a good week on the 12th of May at the lake Deux îles.
We got there Bruno made us feel so welcome cabins were fantastic we had a look round the lake and set up but the fish were spawning so not much till Tuesday
I had the first and ended up with 5 from 16lb to 26.4lb then my dad had 8 fish from 18lb to 44lb and my step mum had 1 and step grandad had 1 but what a good week we had !
Bruno is such a brilliant lake host and was really helpful and he recommended a tackle shop to us so we went to visit and was shocked on how local it was 10 mins drive from the lake into Pacy.
So we are hoping to come back again next year and I would like to thank Bruno again.
See you soon !

★★★ Deux îles report to 5th May ★★★, 5th May
A catch report from Bradley Coombes and Tyrone :
This was our second visit to deux iles on lake exclusive so we somewhat knew what to expect from Bruno and his lake. Immaculate cabins and a great host in Bruno, full of advice and friendly chat.
On arrival at the lake it was very hot and we thought we might struggle a bit. However I managed a 42 lb 5 oz PB mirror within a few hours of setting up which set the tone for the rest of the week. The weather stayed very warm up until Tuesday, I was consistently catching maybe 2 or 3 a day. Come Wednesday the weather changed with the wind blowing in the other direction and the temperature cooling to around 15 degrees. This really got the fish feeding and my dad was getting a bite around every 3/4 hours.
We caught some stunning fish which included us both catching the sturgeon on the same day and me breaking my PB twice during the holiday and also catching my first grass carp which was a real treat.
We would and have recommended this lake to anyone. It is pure luxury and Bruno is a brilliant host who can’t do enough for you.
Many thanks Bruno, will no doubt be returning in future ðŸ‘ðŸ».
In total we managed 35 fish, 4 being 40 lb Carp up to 43 lb 5 oz and the sturgeon at 42lb !

★★★ Deux îles report to 28th April ★★★, 28th Apr
A catch report from Rick Cordingley & Adam Cordingley
This was our first fishing trip to France and something we had been looking forward to for some time. We chose Deux îIes because of the setting and the peaceful nature of the location. We also like the idea of the limited number allowed on the lake at any one time.
On arrival Bruno greeted us and took us round the lake offering sound advice and lots of information that would be useful during our stay.
We decided which cabin we liked the look of and after a amicable discussion we were able to pick cabin one.
Although the weather at first was mixed and often cold we still manage to catch a few fish including the biggest of the week at 42 pounds.
On the Monday it went really cold and even snowed at one point, we brought the rods in and went to visit a local town and did a little shopping.
After that the weather improved with nice hot days but still chilly and misty throughout the night. Although we caught on most days we felt the Mondays weather slowed the fishing for the rest of the week.
We used simple bottom bait tactics with a washed out pink topper, fished over crushed boilies and Bruno's pellet and particle mix.We fishied to the far margin and also on the bunker that ended up being the most fruitful swim.
We had a great week and Bruno was really helpful, we would love to return one day.
Many thanks to his Mum who supplied a really delicious pot of jam.
