We had a total of 15 carp ranging from 18 to 48lb. We started of well for the first few days catching around 8 carp but the weather was up and down which slow it down.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Just listen to Bruno and you won’t go far wrong. Plastic baits helped against the crayfish but they aren’t as bad as some lakes we have fished in France. Live system glugged hookbaits worked well.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Cabins were brilliant and the main kitchen and shower area you couldn’t fault.

Details of your catches:

Started off on the front foot with 2x 30s and a 44.10 after two days. Then went dead. Until the last night with a low 20.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All caught on plastic dumbbells with a yellow corn topper. Crayfish kill you within two rod lengths of the margins.

Above and beyond. Excellent

General Comments:

We were fifteen minutes late due to the ferry being delayed. But still in time for the draw of pegs. (12 o’clock. ) However the other guys already had there marker float out. So we were just given Hut 1. Yes they had more than us, but we can all get a seven day weather forecast. I just feel regardless wether you have been there before a draw is only fair for swims. The only down point. Good guys though and fished it well.

The fishing was great we had 25 fish with the biggest going 51lb!!!!

All fish came on CC Moore live system and maize, we fished boilie topped with corn real and fake over crushed boilies and maize
