General Comments:

Gary and Ang where excellent owners/hosts, nothing to much trouble and on hand to help if required. Food package well worth having, evening meals where spot on, filling and very tasty, even pinched a recipe it was that good

Details of your catches:

26 fish were caught in total. 14 mirrors to 54lb 10oz (lake record), 10 commons to 27lb 10oz and 3 grass carp to 30lb 8oz

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All fish came on fluorocarbon D-Rigs, apart from one on a 4ft zig. Sweetcorn appears to be a very good quick bite tactic also.
Majority of fish came tight to the margins.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were great with hot running water for the sink and shower. The facilities were very clean and are kept to a high standard.
The owners make you feel just like your at home.

Were you happy with them?

We were more than happy with the facilities and the venue. The shower is very good and refreshing, and the cabin contains fridges to keep everything cool.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

I would 100% recommend the venue to a friend, or any group of anglers looking for a good social week whilst having a solid chance of a PB. We all beat our own personal PB's within the first 24 hours.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Gary and Angeline make you feel right at home from the start of the holiday, up until the end. They are welcoming, friendly and always on hand to help where required. Piper the dog is also good fun!!

General Comments:

Eau De Vie is a great venue and I highly recommend it to any angler.
If you choose this venue then I highly advise the full food package. Angeline's cooking is sublime include fresh home cooked food. Gary also cooks up a mean BBQ on the Thursday for a great social evening. A* venue!!

26 carp to 43lb 3oz including 1x40, 2x30s and 9 others over 25lb.

Water was still quite cold, so corn over small amounts of particle and pellet proved most effective.

Excellent facilities as normal, it was a very very wet week - but the food and facilities were spot on

Definitely, I keep coming back several times a year because it’s a great venue run by great hosts.

Gaz and Angie are bloody brilliant and piper, excellent. Food was amazing, Gary is a brilliant coffee maker lol. It just felt like being at home with family..
