12 fish during the week, 7x mirrors from 20lb 8oz to 33lb 8oz, 4 commons from 16lb 8oz to 32lb 5oz & 1 grassy at 25lb. 6 fish in the first couple of days then a lull with only 1 fish over the next 2 days before we finished with 5 fish on the last day.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

4 fish on the inferno lake boilies fished on the bottom, 6 on Nash squid wafters & 2 on pineapple fished either as a snowman or critically balanced.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, the facilities are excellent just perfect for what we needed, plenty of hot water & a nice shower room. Good kitchen & bbq facilities for our cooking & a couple of comfortable bedrooms when we needed the beds on the first & last nights. The rest of the time we used bivvies on the centrally located swim which gave excellent access to the whole lake.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, well equipped with everything we needed.

This is an excellent venue for 2 or 3 people. Gary & Angie have worked hard to create a lovely lake in a very quiet rural area. Just so peaceful. The fish are in absolutely stunning condition & there are certainly bigger fish to catch.

Yes, staff were readily available for discussion over the phone & there is a good stream of emails to keep us informed of all the details for our trip. Great variety of lakes to choose from with plenty of information & detail regarding all the lakes available with a good filter arrangement to drill down to what we were looking for. We also liked the fact that the ferry bookings are included.

General Comments:

Gary & Angie are very helpful & knowledgeable about their lake & the fish holding areas. They are on hand if you need more bait etc & regularly popped by to check we were ok. Nice to meet their friends Pete & Debbie who came around a couple of days when Gary was away. We had a fantastic time & will visit again as for us it's a perfect venue.

Details of your catches:

23 carp to 43-4 with 1 other 40 and 7 x 30s between the 2 adult anglers. The younger anglers had 23 fish to 7-12 including 1 catfish.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Solid bags or PVA bags either in open water or cast near the trees. We used Gary's bait (Nash Scopex Squid) and DNA baits SLK.

Facilities were great with 2 fridges, a freezer and good shower.

Details of your catches:

6 fish, four around 25 to 30, 1x 28lb Grass Carp, 1x 42lb Mirror. Lost around 6 others through poor angling on our part. The heat caused a lack of feeding not just for this lake but many others as well

Wafters and snowmen fished over pellet and particle but mainly the best tactic was to listen closely to Garys advice

General Comments:

It was a tough week. unusually high temperatures slowed the fishing down. However
Gary is a very experienced and skilled carp angler and was happy to spent time sharing his knowledge.

The techniques and skills we acquired from him were more than compensation for a slow week, that said we both got PB's, a 28lb grass carp and a 42lb mirror, not bad.

mirrors and commons up to 33lb7 - including 5x30s 11x20s and 10xdoubles. Primarily fishing 3rods day time only (with a full day off fishing to go to the zoo)

General Comments:

Gary and Ange have a superb exclusive fishery, I have spent a few weeks on each lake since 2020 and each time I return the facilities are improved and fine tuned to make the stay as comfortable and friendly as possible. All the fish are in excellent condition, and everything you need is here.
