General Comments:

Fishing was difficult due to the weather, storm Dennis at the start and high wind and frost at the end. Second time at Eau De Vie, welcome was great as usual, food was top class as normal

2 anglers. 1 x 12lb common carp.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Used tactics suggested by the lake. Used Dynamite boilies and pellets and particles supplied by the lake. Tried ronnie rigs and shortened ronnie rigs. Zig rig and bottom baits. Fished 15 hrs a day!

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes. Comfortable and warm. Everything provided. Good shower and comfy beds!

Definitely!

Maybe because it was November and a relatively new lake but we found it difficult! We half expected it to be! Even Gary the owner tried his best to help!

Great host. Gary very friendly and helpful with all fishing queries. Angeline with local info and great accommodation. Will be back.

Details of your catches:

Mirror carp to 28lb early in the week. Strange behaviour of fish from midweek onwards. Though the weather improved to almost perfect conditions at times, the fish, although still showing proved more difficult. Even when fishing overnight.

Ronnie rig. Snowman, lake particle.

Definitely. Hosts were most obliging and friendly and exceeded all our expectations. Food package was excellent (as highly recommended by previous clients).
