Margins early part of week open water as colder weather came in. Ronnie rig with Scopex squid popup and lots of house pellet, the carp love it.

When it was hot early in the week I fished the margins and close to the island. when the pressure and temperature dropped I caught in open water.all my fish were caught on Scopex squid pop ups an inch off the bottom on a ronnie rig with small PVA bag and pellet once they started feeding.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Brilliant kitchen facilities which include oven, grill, hob, fridge, freezer, hot shower, and the option of two separate bedrooms. Fantastic facilities .

Gary & Angeline could not have been more accomodating, the service has been absolutely fantastic and I have had a great weeks fishing. I would definately come back . Nathan.

The accommodation was tip top lovely, warm in the evenings. Beds super comfortable.

General Comments:

Eau de Vie is a beautiful venue. just driving through the gate makes you smile. It was clear it wasn't going to be an easy place to fish when we spotted fish pairing up in preparation for spawning. However thanks to the owners knowledge of his lake and some advice from a mutual pal I was able to put a few on the bank. For the wife and I Eau De Vie has become much more than just another fishing venue. Angeline & Gary have become firm friends and we're already planning our next visit. Although we catered for ourselves in the fully fitted cabin we did get a chance to sample Angeline's cooking, the food package is recommended . I'm 100% Eau de Vie will become a firm favourite on the Angling lines circuit it really does offer it all. Thanks guys. Andy.
