The owners of the lake are so lovely and helpful. Nothing is too much for them.

The facilities were fantastic way more than we expected like being at home with a fishing lake

General Comments:

We ended up at Heart Lake because our choice had closed (due to flooding) on the Thursday before we were due to leave.
The venue is not our normal type of water being 2.5 acres but proved an interesting challenge.
The hosts Lionel and Veronique were simply wonderful they welcomed us on the Saturday morning and could not do enough for us all week. We had a couple of bottles of wine, beers and pasties. They were an absolute pleasure to meet

Three fishing this session and 18 carp caught over the week. The breakdown as follows. 1 x 40lb+, 13 x 30lb+, 3 x 20lb+ and 1 x 18lb+

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

All fish fell to bottom baits either wafter or critically balanced. Bait used were 18mm trigga and essential cell boilies + maize and tiger nuts.

General Comments:

Another great week at heart Lake, not as many fish as last year, but hey, that's fishing. Lionel and veronique are the most amazing hosts and Lionel is on hand to tend to your every need. This was our 2nd year here and I have already booked for next year. Looking forward to seeing our friends again next year and catching some beautiful fish.
