Details of your catches:

We had an unusually difficult few days fishing at Heart lake. Due to some bad weather and seasonal timing I think the lake was just taking some time out but that being said we still managed 5 carp to mid 30's over a few days and the facilities and surroundings made our time feel like a really nice holiday.
The owners at Heart lake are the loveliest people and brought us cakes and croissants each day. Can't fault it had a great time. beautiful place

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Small amounts of bait fishing tiger nuts or small boilies over the few days we visited. I even managed to catch one on a ZIG! don't be afraid to try one! Lots of carp showing during our time here :)

Beautiful facilities, the sundeck area at the lakeside has a bbq and kitchen area which is epic!

Yes, facilities were everything we needed, clean and tidy couldn't really ask for any more

Definitely, this place is an absolute gem and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to go. The hosts Lionel and Veronique could probably be the nicest people I have ever met, they were on hand every day if any problems occurred and showered us with free gifts from the local area including wines, pastries, beers and also some bait when ours didn't seem to be working too well.
The new additions of a hut on one of the swims was brilliant and also being able to fish the stock pond helped to fill any quiet gaps and made for some great sport. We had a tough time with the weather going really cold but when it warmed up the fish turned on and I am sure with a few more days we would have had a lot more larger fish to show. Please please don't over look Heart Lake, it really is a brilliant place to stay and fish.
