After a good previous 2 weeks catches an increase in temp 10 degrees upto 28 degrees!!! caused the fish to switch off, so was a hard week.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

single 20mm bottom bait with a bright topper, over a bed of pellet, bollie and sweetcorn, produced the bites along with float fished bread produced a 27lber!! We followed the fish to the shallow end, fishing against far margin and the middle channel down the shallow end.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Fanatic, better than expected with everything you could wish for and more, great shower / toilet and kitchen area.

Were you happy with them?

Nothing was in need of repair or tired, basically couldn't of asked for a better location, beautiful lake and surroundings, could totally switch off.

Absolutely!!! Fabien was a wonderful host from beginning to end, was always available if needed.

General Comments:

A wonderful peaceful setting with the potential only to get better and better. Fabien's vision of what he wants is spot on. A conservatively stocked lake with plenty of room for the carp to grow on. Despite catching the biggest known in the lake we were sure there a bigger in there!!!! These could all be seen from doing circuits around the lake.

We had 13 carp 13lb -36lb, One koi.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Pop ups over lake pellets and boilies fished on the far margin as far left as you can. Careful of the snags in the middle of the lake when reeling back in.

General Comments:

All fish were in amazing condition, not like a stocked lake in the UK. Fabien and his family are great hosts, you will not be disappointed if you book here. The worst part about this lake is leaving it! We could have stayed forever it’s so peaceful. Amazing wildlife around the lake too, the frogs are a nice wake up call.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing to margins, moving during the day to the far swims where we spotted fish, which landed a few plus moved fish around. found a couple of deep silty spots in the middle of the lake which hooked a few as well.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were great, the anglers pods are ideal & spacious (with electric), the main swim is large with decent carp landing gear. also includes picnic table & BBQ. The Kitchen / Shower room has everything you need. there was nothing extra required.

Yes, already have. This is a beautiful natural lake, very unique, peaceful, with comfortable facilities.

Perfect venue to spend a week fishing with friends or family, you will not find a venue with better hospitality, Fabien & family go above and beyond to ensure you enjoy your stay. wonderful people! we will certainly be back, and will enjoy watching the venue and the fish grow.

12ml pop ups over 6ml pellets krill boilies halved and some 14ml pellets, crayfish were active at times so used plastic baits

Were the facilities what you expected?

Loved the 2 pods on the lake, used 1 for bed chairs at night, the other for day time use.
The induction hob was a challenge, shower and toilet very nice
