Details of your catches:

There were 2 of us Fishing. We caught 33 Carp. We only fished a few hours in the morning and evening. We would of probably caught another 20 as my Bait boat batteries ran out and I’d not brought the charger. The Fish seemed to stay in the Margins and as soon as we dropped the bait before the bait boat was back I’d had a take. I or my friend never used three rods as we were getting double takes.
The fish were real scrappers. Although not as big as on the Main Lake, we still had Mirrors from mid doubles up to 25lb. Had some lovely commons at 20lb up to 24lb a few upper mid doubles. The Grass Carp from 10lb2oz to 24lb 8oz. I lost 4 grass Carp, one at the net 3 snagged me at the top end but jumped and freed themselves.
One morning my friend was asleep as we were there to Fish but also to relax.
I had 6 Fish that I had to land myself. Now these Fish see the net and refuse to come in. It’s a battle.

Great time Gilles and Sharon were very helpful. Having the pool helped for an afternoon cool off and relax.

Best spots and tactics tiger nuts tipped with plastic corn. I wrapped my Boilies but my friend found a spot double 20mm Raja spice unwrapped and he was getting plenty of bites... Obviously we had to weigh, photo, so it’s easier if there’s two.

Great place, different from some lakes where you may only get 4 fish or less all week even if they’re bigger.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Bait boating to the left hand side before the first set of old dead twigs straight to the bank. Turn in just before where there’s a peg opposite the willow tree.

Dropping tiger nuts tipped with corn under the willow tree. The poison chat can be a nuisance so take Korda bait wrap if they’re about. But as I say my mate didn’t bother and caught plenty when he fished. He lost 3 . I never fished Thursday as had a bit of sunstroke. But the Raja spice or Tuna and Garlic 22mm off Gilles worked fine. Tried pop up plastic dumbbells but just basic blow back rigs got our Fish.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes fine cooking facilities if you want to cook. Bedroom was fine double bed and my mate had a single upstairs. No complaints.

Were you happy with them?

Yes , personally I’m not that dedicated to sit in my bivvie for a week. Each to there own like a shower and a fridge for cold drinks.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes. If you want to do a few hours Fishing in the morning and evening and catch some nice fish without waiting all day for maybe one bite it’s a great place in beautiful surroundings.

General Comments:

Very happy. If you bring a bait boat as the fish seem to stay a lot in the margins bring your charger.

Tiger nuts fished to trees or in margins over prebaited spots. We fished 3hrs in the morning and 6 hrs in the evening

Lake is set in a beautiful part of France, the scenery is amazing and some lovely towns and villages local with fantastic places to eat
