General Comments:

Fantastic relaxing week

Details of your catches:

We caught approximately 19 fish. Ranging in weight from 28 - 41 pounds. The fish were spawning. Plus the weather was erratic. It went from 31C on arrival to 12C when we left.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Listen to Gilles. Used 18 mm boilies. Fished on D rigs.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The facilities were spectacular. The house was comfortable and well looked after. The tackle was of good quality. Coming from America I worried but did not want to take all the tackle with me. The set-up offered by the venue was new and working wonderfully.

Were you happy with them?

We were very pleased with the accommodations. Our host were helpful and came by to check on us when the weather changed. The tackle hire was very important to me. I was traveling over 4000 miles (Miami, Florida) and was thrilled to see that the tackle looked new! Everything was in great condition.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

I would recommend this venue to everyone! We are booking to go back already next year.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Angling Lines was helpful seeing as we were coming from the USA. They had to make adjustments to the billing but in the end it all worked out. Only thing I would change is the returning of deposit method. If they would put a hold on my credit card until the venue tells them it would be easier than having to pay a fee for a bank transfer.

General Comments:

Giles and Sharon are wonderful and attentive hosts. We came from Florida, USA and they answered all our questions before we arrived. Once there they came by to check on us to make sure all was well due to the drastic change in weather.

Numerous 20's and 30's caught in the week. Best Mirror 50Lb 8oz, best Common 34lb

Plastic corn fished over concentrated beds of particle produced many grass carp to 24lb, larger savoury boiles scattered over a wider area tended to pick out the mirrors and commons

Definitely for a family holiday, you couldn't ask for better facilities and fishing as a combined package.

General Comments:

On Arrival at the lake Giles was there to welcome us and the place looked immaculate, the surrounding landscape is truly stunning, we were impressed with the facilities and in particular the proximity of the accommodation to the fishing area.

The local town is located a short drive away and has a large modern supermarket, a bakers and a butchers.

The fishing right from the off proved to be prolific initially for the grass carp which provided excellent sport. Our recommendation would be to take advice from Giles on the hot spots and tactics to employ, he has good feel for where the fish are feeding and what's working at any one time.

2 of us fished we had about 800lb between us, did not fish every day.

Grass, Common, Mirror and Koi, biggest mirror 44lb 14 oz, lots of 30's and 20's

Best tactic is to listen to Gilles, get him to show where to fish, let him have a go on your throwing stick!!!

Yes of course, no other pond has the fish, the view and the stunning facilities, pool, bbq - not far for Agen (big town)

General Comments:

Don't take the kitchen sink, get in touch with Gilles, listen to what he says, rigs and bait simple approach, no particle, just 20mm boilies, simple hair rig setup, plenty of baiting and 4oz leads does the trick, i would advise you either buy from Gilles or take at least 20Kg of Quest Rahja Spice - oh and dont forge to get some Korda Wrap, once we wrapped we caught!
