We caught 61 fish of which mostly mirrors (up to 42 lbs) and some commons (up to 33 lbs). Only fished during the day, with only 2 rods out most of the time.

General Comments:

I chose this venue so I could get some good fishing in but also take the family hoping they might not get too bored. As it turned out the lake , house and grounds are better than expected. The only advice is to make sure you take loads of mozzy spray cause we got battered by them.

I had excellent fishing, the whole family loved the wildlife and house and the pool( in the sun too cold unless!) Gilles and Sharon are friendly and make sure everything goes as you want it to , and are on the end of the phone if you need any help.

Everybody was sad when we had to leave and wanted to go back asap crackin venue and crackin owners

Details of your catches:

There were two anglers fishing the main lake, Graham and Frank
Twenty four carp were caught, the biggest being a 54lb mirror and a new PB for Graham Reid , followed by 44lb and 8 thirty plus from 32 to 38.
All except two were caught during the day. The two were caught between 12 and 2am

10 inch Fluoro Link to Korda Clear Leader with Hybrid Lead clip and 3 oz Korda Leads set to drop if fish action.
Listen to Gilles for best spots and tactics......a fish in 20 mins.
Little and often putting several free offerings around

We did not fish every day nor all day due to having a large family and children plus going out every day

Very happy with all of the facilities which were mega clean and the wives/kids spent most of the days in the pool

Gilles and Sharon were perfect hosts and went out of their way for our family group. We had two birthday parties a 60th with a hog roast and an 8 year olds pool party. Gilles and Sharon supported both days at considerable effort to themselves to make our days excellent

General Comments:

If your looking for a combination of excellent carp fishing with accommodation and great service then look no further than mas bas main lake. Our family flew into Bordeaux and drove down utilising the excellent tackle hire available. So relaxing. We will be back in 2017
