Details of your catches:

the fishing on this venue is dead easy, we caught 2 forty's 3 thirty's over 50 twenty's and 10 or so doubles fishing 1/2 day's only

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

any

Were the facilities what you expected?

willow cottage was typically french with a mismatch of furniture, very clean with french plumbing thrown in

Were you happy with them?

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

yes, the setting is very beautiful, quite remote and wonderfully quiet with nature

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

General Comments:

For anybody wanting a bend in the rod the setting and fishing here is excellent.Giles and Lesley are good hosts unfortunately on our visit the weather wasn't too clever.

Details of your catches:

I had 48 fish in total, 11 grass carp to 18.5 lb, 19 mirror carp to 33lb, 8 common carp to 28.5 lb, 9 bream and a lovely 4lb tench. Dad had 12 fish in total to 29.5 lb including a beautiful koi carp to 8 lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Most of my fish came from fishing to the fountain (but not too tight or you'll get snagged) and casting into the shallows with single hookbaits and a small pva bag containing two crushed boilies. I used relativity short hooklinks to what Gilles recommends, about 6-9 inches in length. During the day I used washed out boilies which in my opinion really worked for me. The boilies I used were Rahja spice,I used pellets for the main feed.

Were the facilities what you expected?

yes,we had visited in 2009

Were you happy with them?

yes

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

definitely

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

definitely

General Comments:

Weather was poor for the first 4 days, compared to our last visit, but this didn't really spoil our holiday. We flew into Bergerac and hired a car. The journey from the airport took over an hour but was straight forward. The tackle that we hired was good stuff (fox and nash mainly) and had a range of different test curve rods to suit you and your style of fishing.

Main lake I had 40 carp to 47.08lb. We weren't fishing hard either. i had a fair number of 30's 8 or 9 . 3 x 40's one was a scaper but it did make it.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Snowmen across the red and green bush , one to the right of the aereator and oner to the left of it. Boilies only. I used 30 kilos for the week. I had action day and night and some nights didn't fish but the 47 came during ther day. I fished 3 nights and 3 days seperated out.
