Details of your catches:
Roach, bream, eel. Carp much too professional for us!
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Tried everything
Were the facilities what you expected?
As expected
Were you happy with them?
Yes. Clean, basic, but Lotus cottage has strange layout.
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
The main house definitely.Beautiful venue, calm, tranquil, restorative.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes
General Comments:
We were told that as Lake House had two rods and we were a pair, Willow Cottage could only be let out to non-anglers. Not the case! 2nd week had 3 anglers which sent ripples through Lake House and Lotus Cottage. Shame!

Details of your catches:
18 carp caught, quite a few dropped due to weed. Biggest 46lb. 10 x 30lb+ carp and 2 or 3 twenties. Smallest 10lb.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Fishing up to lily pads over the weed, also fishing under the willow tree to the right of Lake House. Double 18mm boilies, all bottom baits. Fished on the surface too, a 31lb mirror came out this way.
Were the facilities what you expected?
Yes
Were you happy with them?

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
Yes, definitely.
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Yes, no problem.
General Comments:
Very nice lake, idyllic setting, suitable for max 3 serious anglers on main lake. Tight if all serious anglers with 4. Definitely will go again. Giles & Lesley superb hosts. photo's to follow.

General Comments:
very slow fishing, but fish were spawning all over main lake, possibally overfed by previous anglers (60 kg of bait put in ).All fish caught were of superb quality, the commons go like a steam train on speed. Excellent hosts (Gilles & Lesley)

Details of your catches:
8 fish lost but 5 landed - 38lb 3oz,33lb 10oz, 20lb 3oz, 17lb. They were all mirrors and I had 1 x 24lb 12oz common and the new lake record 46lb 12oz mirror. These were all caught by myself. Also my friend Joe caught 10lb common and 15lb mirror and he also managed to lose 4 out of the 5 fish lost.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs:
Standard UK gear
Were the facilities what you expected?
To be honest NO (it was not what I expected) ie the lake being choked with weed and only able to fish half an acre out of five (but accomodation gets 10/10)
Were you happy with them?
Yes beautiful location
Would you recommend the venue to a friend?
yes but when it is not choked with weed
Would you recommend the services to a friend?
Maybe
General Comments:
If I had not had the run I had and caught the lake record I would not have been happy. Its quite a difficult little lake with only 118 carp sorry 117 as one died while we were there. OWNERS COMMENT: The weed has been prolific this spring. However out of 5 acres there are 3.5 acres to fish at the moment and currently measures are being taken to reduce the problem. It is DEFFINITELY NOT CORRECT to say there is only half an acre to fish.
