We had lots of 20lb + and 30lb+ and three over 40lb the biggest at 46lb. We had a mixture of common, mirror, grass and koi carp

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Spicy boilies, trout pellets and tiger nuts. Stay away from particle ground baits they bring in the catfish.

We were made to feel very welcome by Sharron. Laurie was amazing and spent a lot of time helping and teaching our son, he also helped by making different rigs for us. A top bloke.

We caught between 120-130 carp 80 mirror & common carp Around 40 grass carp 6 koi carp 7x 30lb Mirror’s 2x 40lb Mirror’s Biggest Mirror Carp 40lb 12oz Biggest Grass Carp 27lb 10oz

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing towards the far margin & willow tree to the right of the swim and far margin and around the island to the left of the swim. We used mainly chopped and whole boilies with some pellet and maize. Fished on pop ups on Ronnie Rigs and bottom baits on Slip-D’s.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Facilities were excellent for a fishing holiday. Having the outdoor bbq and swimming pool was awesome and was used everyday. So much space in the house and felt really homely.

Were you happy with them?

Yes we was very happy (apart from the girls didn’t like a few bugs but what can you do). We had such a fantastic week with plenty of cooking and wine in the evening while the rods were out of the water.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Would definitely recommend to friends and family. This venue will suit family holidays with the swimming pool and activities that can be done. Also chilled holidays like we had which was just what we needed.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

100%. We are already looking to book our return visit to Mas Bas already as we had such a good time.

Details of your catches:

62 fish - 5 x 30lbers, lots of 20s and teens. 24 x grass, 29 x mirror, 8 x Common & 1 x White Koi. Lost over 20 fish across the week between all of us so lots of action!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Tiger nuts were fantastic. Once we started on 2-3 on a hair it kept the poisson chat at bay. Double or single wrapped boilies just resulted in the poisson chat. Fished 1-2 foot from the far bank. Had 10-15 of the fish before we even set the rod on the alarm! Open water didn’t produce any.

Standard bottom bait rigs with tiger nuts and fishing to the left and right margins also had good results of the sticky krill in open water

Had a great family holiday to Mas Bas Main Lake, Gilles and Sharon could not have been more helpful, fishing was great and rest of the family enjoyed chilling at the pool
