62 fish - 5 x 30lbers, lots of 20s and teens.
24 x grass, 29 x mirror, 8 x Common & 1 x White Koi. Lost over 20 fish across the week between all of us so lots of action!

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Tiger nuts were fantastic. Once we started on 2-3 on a hair it kept the poisson chat at bay. Double or single wrapped boilies just resulted in the poisson chat. Fished 1-2 foot from the far bank. Had 10-15 of the fish before we even set the rod on the alarm! Open water didn’t produce any.

2 x 40lb+ carp
Around 30 x 30lb+ carp
Lots of 20lb+ carp most being mirror and 6 being common, also caught a few grass carp

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Standard bottom bait rigs with tiger nuts and fishing to the left and right margins also had good results of the sticky krill in open water

General Comments:

Had a great family holiday to Mas Bas Main Lake, Gilles and Sharon could not have been more helpful, fishing was great and rest of the family enjoyed chilling at the pool

Details of your catches:

Between the 2 of us we only managed 12 fish with the biggest being a 28.5lb mirror. We was plagued by tiny chat/crays constantly throughout our time there, which was so frustrating.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing to the far bank and the fountain produced the majority of the fish!
Shrink wrapped baits are a must because of the poison chat.
Stiff rigs are best to help avoid coming back in tangled because of the chat/crayfish.

General Comments:

Fishing was slow and really hard work but that was to be expected as it was really high pressure and it was 40+ degrees.

Details of your catches:

We caught around 50 fish, although 45 were grass carp (11lb-28lb). Biggest was a mirror mid thirties.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Fishing to the far margins, sometimes you get a bite before you can put the rod on the alarm. We even had 3 fish at once!

Yes, beautiful setting and an amazing outside socialising area. Perfect.
