Details of your catches:

we had 20 fish up to 51lb 6oz several 30s and 20s

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

I found that snowman rigs with a bright topper worked well but found that match the hatch wafter fished of the baited area caught me the bigger fish, I baited up every morning with around 5kg parti mix and 3kg boilie

Were the facilities what you expected?

yes ,Very clean and looked after

Were you happy with them?

Yes very happy , After fishing Bruno's other lake i had no doubt that the facilities would be clean and tidy

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

yes without question

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes , i have used Angling lines for many years and will continue to

General Comments:

A very beautiful lake and as always Bruno was very welcoming and helpful.. We had a tough week with the lake flooding whilst we was there but we made the best of it and got into some fish.. It is a long walk to the shower and toilets but we took a toilet bucket so no issue . The bikes provided are suitable enough to get you there and back.. Very hard fighting fish and are in great condition .. stunning venue. There’s a video of our trip on youtube: https://youtu.be/hXo_YSou_yY

Details of your catches:

28 bites and landed 20 1x lake record @ 67lb 1x 58lb common 4x 40lb+ carp 8x 30lb+ carp 4x 20lb+ carp 2x upper double carp

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

It didn't matter wafter, pop up or lake specials they all caught, some on fish meals and some on fruit or nut baits. Double 15/18mm caught the most carp

Were the facilities what you expected?

Nice hot shower, clean facilities. Swim 4 is the closest to shower at 600yrds and swim 1 is about 1100 yards. Most of the supplied bikes worked. Cabin with fridge/freezers all great microwave and toaster worked as expected. No water in cabin so had to collect from shower room when washing up.

Were you happy with them?

Yes facilities Happy with. Swims need a bit of work for next season. I understand that work can't be carried out during fishing season because lake owner only has 1 hr turn around in-between guest. Swims we found hard to lift fish over the wooden barriers and only 1 side of swim 1 & 2 had steps. Swim 1 right hand side needs cutting back and steps adding. Swim 2 right hand side has a muddy slope this also needs steps. Swim 3 Bruno is rebuilding. Swim 4 Bruno is revamping Both over winter. My guest found a few snags which ended up with to many fish losses and a few rigs got caught as a result. Used to the boat to retrieve but still snagged so tackle/,line lost. Also life jkt needed for boat. Cradles need up dating as very worn. But I guess this is due to being left out all season. Bruno and his partner are great friendly people and there to help if needed. We purchased the bait packages. Closest supermarket/fuel is 5 mins up the road. If your using a bait boat take covers as the birdlife enjoy eating out the back of them as your taking rigs out.

Details of your catches:

48 Carp and 2 Tench. 3x 50s 8x40s 16x30s 12x 20s

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Unfortunately 99% of the fish came from the far margin, this is 120yd chuck, a bait boat is essential if your can’t cast this distance. A few fish came to Tiger nuts all the others on boilies. The biggest fish were in the first swim, the end swim produced the most inclining 6 fish in one night due to a big S/W wind picking up for a few days.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, it’s long walk to the toilets, but they are lovely and clean with very good shower.

Were you happy with them?

Yes.

General Comments:

The ducks are aggressive they actually mob bait baits and steal bait if you have boat with a hopper lid then use it.I would take a mouse trap as there are a hole in my ruck back and a rod hold-all!!!
