General Comments:

Just like to say a massive thank you to Debbie John and Mark for a fantastic week on a beautiful lake.
The food package and hospitality was excellent, unfortunately the weather was against us with horrific relentless rain and wind. Despite that I managed 9 fish in total with my PB mirror of 56lb 14oz (Delilah) 3x 40’s, 1x 30 3x 20 and 2x upper doubles.
A total of 20 fish from our group (3 anglers) and a big congratulations to Matty for the biggest fish of the week called the Scar common at 61,05.
100% we will return asap hopefully with better weather conditions.

18 fish caught in total by 3 anglers to 40lb.

Critically balanced baits and washed out pink. Fake corn/maize picked out the bigger fish.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The toilet flushes, the beers were cold and the shower is hot! What else do you need??

General Comments:

John and Debbie make you feel so welcome. Nothing is ever too much trouble.
The food is incredible, the lake is stunning. But the service is best by far.

11 carp caught overall biggest 43lb and a 3lb perch.

A range of different tactics caught from pop ups the villafond rig to double corn

Great facilities, basic but everything you need to drive and survive

General Comments:

A very hard venue with big clever carp that take a lot of patience and skill to catch, if you get a beep at Villefond double check the carp is not coming towards you we had a lot of takes like this.

Details of your catches:

23 carp. Mostly 20’s but 2 x 50’s. Most fish came from the main open section of the lake and mainly during the day.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

12mm pop ups over a mix of pellet and crushed boilies seemed to bring best results. Casting/boating to showing fish, either bubbles or fish jumping also worked.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, exactly as described. Shower did pack up but whilst waiting for a replacement we were offered showers at the owners house and shower was up and running before we left.
