Only 3 anglers catching we had 9 fish between us comprising of a 24lb 2x37lbers 3x38lbers a 39lber and 2x 40's

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

playing around with your rigs and bait was a must, fishing real long hooklinks cus of the silt longer links than ever used in the uk. size 8 hooks. Had a hard week sussing them out but divedends well paid

General Comments:

the complex was as stated and very clean, the only down side we could comment on was not having a freezer on site for you to store your bait although the owners were very accomadating on bringing it to us as and when we needed it

Very long hook links, tight hairs to the hook, naturals or boilie were both taken

The facilities were accommodating but would of been nice to have a freezer for bait on site and would like to see larger unhooking mats

We were happy with the facilities they were clean and comfortable

Would recommend this lake to anyone and will definately be revisiting the complex great average size of fish and very friendly owners

General Comments:

Great lake, great fish, great owners all in all a great trip :-)

Details of your catches:

15 fish with all but three being 30's including 2 x 39's, 2 x 38's, 1 x 37 and the rest being low to mid 30's

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

It was obvious the fish werent feeding well if at all so all the fish were coming out on pop ups and chod rigs which may have been opportunistic takes. My fish all came from fake corn and fake maggots in deep silt

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes but around the facilities could have been mowed and trimmed as the pics on the website are a lot nicer and are from some time ago

Were you happy with them?

All in all they were good but could do with electricity at lake as the generator supplied isnt up to scratch and constantly broke down or leaked petrol but the rest was fine.

General Comments:

Mark, dog and family were very welcoming and I enjoyed the holiday as much as I thought. The only sticking point for me is that it states on website there is good access to every swim most swims have sharp uneven rocks down to the water and the shallow swims have sheer drops to where the rods are. Wouldnt cost a lot to sort this out though.
All in all a very good week away just a shame we didnt catch more fish!
