15 fish with all but three being 30's including 2 x 39's, 2 x 38's, 1 x 37 and the rest being low to mid 30's

It was obvious the fish werent feeding well if at all so all the fish were coming out on pop ups and chod rigs which may have been opportunistic takes. My fish all came from fake corn and fake maggots in deep silt

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes but around the facilities could have been mowed and trimmed as the pics on the website are a lot nicer and are from some time ago

Were you happy with them?

All in all they were good but could do with electricity at lake as the generator supplied isnt up to scratch and constantly broke down or leaked petrol but the rest was fine.

General Comments:

Mark, dog and family were very welcoming and I enjoyed the holiday as much as I thought. The only sticking point for me is that it states on website there is good access to every swim most swims have sharp uneven rocks down to the water and the shallow swims have sheer drops to where the rods are. Wouldnt cost a lot to sort this out though.
All in all a very good week away just a shame we didnt catch more fish!

General Comments:

This venue is a must, hard water and not for the faint hearted. Big fish if you can catch them, recently spawned out for the second time. Although I didn't catch any fish I can say that I will be going back to this venue - a seroius challenge which I am looking forward to. A big thanks to John & Debbie. Good drive,a but a bit long - but well worth it.

during the week i caught 12 carp 45.4 ,45.0 ,42.12 , 40.6 , 40.0 ,39.12 ,39.8 ,36.8 , 34.0 , 24.0 , 20.0 , and 18 lbs grass carp

i was using 2 of the new flavor boilies from the 30 range and just fished beds of boilies no partical as had a rod on mixed partical and didnt have a knock all week but just boilies on there own did the trick great new bait rolled fresh for the day i got there i was using coconut and wild cherry and will order again

better than expected very clean and looked after hot showers and full use of caravan with full facilits

very the lamberts where more than helpful and very nice people couldnt do enough to help

fantastic place very clean and beautifuly keep ,showers toilets and full use of on site caravan with oven the owners were great couldnt help enough realy nice people and made you feel very welcome the fish are amazing and in fab condition and only getting bigger
