PVA Bags for single fish but heavy baiting brings multiples. Boilies produced as balanced or snow man.

Were the facilities what you expected?

The lodge is right on the lake and we fished from that swim everyday as it was a family holiday. It is basic but perfect. The cottage is large, the rooms are basic but comfortable. Suggest bringing your own bed linen and duvets and you must bring your own towels.

Were you happy with them?

OK.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes - for the fishing which is excellent

Angling Lines service has always been exceptional.

General Comments:

The cottage needs a good clean and the cutlery, crockery, utensils, bedding all need replacing.

Details of your catches:

There was two of us fishing during the days only. We caught 93 fish for the 6 days and the biggest 31lb but lots of twenties and only a handful under 15lb.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

We fished the dam wall the first day then the top end of the lake fishing over the the far bank. All baits caught but we used mainly the rajah spice and CCmoores equinox

Were the facilities what you expected?

Gite was lovely. Clean and spacious and the pool was great.

We were happy with everything and the family were really friendly and welcoming.

We would love to come back next year and yes already have recommended it to someone

Details of your catches:

Another manic weeks fishing at Vincon. Only fished days and landed 72 carp ranging from 14LB to 28LB. Plus 4 tench and 1 rudd.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

Any bait that is edible will catch at Vincon. This is the only venue in France that I just use a method feeder. Keep the bait going in to the same spot and the fish will come. Be aware though that this is not a water for big fish, more a case of big total weight.

Were the facilities what you expected?

Yes, my wife and I always stay in the cottage which is lovely accommodation. This was our 4th visit to Vincon.

Were you happy with them?

Yes, absolutely.

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

Yes, if they wanted a relaxing weeks fishing with plenty of fish, but not if they were after 30's or 40's.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

Yes, I always book 4 weeks fishing through you every year and always find you most helpfull.

General Comments:

Lovely venue and lovely owners. I have again advised Alice that the lake desperately needs netting to get rid of a lot of the small carp and the huge amount of silver fish (including some beautiful looking rudd) Perhaps then the carp will start to gain weight.

Details of your catches:

Approximately 60 fish over the week, which is the lowest catch rate I've had since I first visited Vincons back in 2003. This I only put down to the horrendous weather conditions & unseasonally cold temperatures. That added to the fact that 3 of the party had never really fished before, but all are now 'hooked'! Largest fish of the week was a 27lb 12oz Common

All tactics work we'll at Vincons, but no need to over complicate things.

Were the facilities what you expected?

As I've been there on many occasions, I knew what to expect of the lakeside lodge. Still as characterful & full of charm as ever. The family loved it!

Were you happy with them?

Perfect for a weeks fishing holiday and sheltering from the torrential rain we saw!

Would you recommend the venue to a friend?

I would absolutely recommend Vincons to friends and family as I have done for many years now, and hope to keep returning for many years to come. Mr & Mrs Bouchot & family are always very friendly & welcoming and as before we were lucky enough to sample Mrs Bouchots baking skills.

Would you recommend the services to a friend?

I can absolutely recommend Angling Lines for your fishing holiday. From booking to return everything is straight forward & seamless. We had one hiccup at euro tunnel, which caused us a delay of just about an hour , which was no fault of angling lines, however they stepped in for us & ensured our return trip was without fault.

General Comments:

For me, a weeks fishing at Vincons either with family or friends is a week in paradise & I intend to return for many years to come. Possibly even for two weeks, dependent on the price! ;)
