News from Deux Iles lake

4 anglers were on the lake Sat 31 March.
Paul and son Rein were here for the second time! Rein is 7 years old and was like last years so excited to start fishing. On the other island Ryan and Jamie are visiting the lake for the first time.
The week was very difficult at the start but Ryan managed to catch 2 different 30lb and one 20lb. On the other side Rein caught some nice carp over 30lb and some little chunky !
I'm looking forward to see you again! Thank you!

For the second week two new anglers joined Rich and Scott at the lake and Rich and Scott let the new guys choose their swim.
The week started great with another 40lb on the bank the first afternoon but then the snow came with the cold weather.. At least Scott managed to catch the sturgeon for his second time and this time it put up much more of a fight resulting in sore arms.
The new anglers Kyle and Jake also tried a variety of methods at the other end of the lake but as they had arrived as the cold weather took its grip they struggled for a bite also. That is why it’s call fishing not catching sadly...

The second week saw the return of Rich and Scott for the fifth trip to my lake and this time they are here for two weeks!
It has started slow and the first fish came out on Sunday with the sturgeon at 40lb and then plenty of fish to follow including one 40lbs and 2 x 30lbs.
They had 11 fish in total for the first week!

The opening week of my lake saw 4 anglers braving some very cold temperatures ! Although it was cold they still managed to catch a few.
That was good going because the lake was frozen at the beggining of their stay. In total they had 4 carp, the biggest 40lb and a 30.8lb then 27lb and 15lb.
For the cold temperatures this was very good fishing, well done guys! I hope to see you guys when the weather is warmer!
