28 fish landed 9 fish lost. Biggest fish 40lb.39lb.38lb.35lb.34lb.31lb.29lb.29lb.28lb.28lb. Other fish virtually all 20lbs. Caught the sturgeon twice.

Your best tactics/bait/rigs:

During my stay i fished a artificial pop-up boilie over partical tigernuts pellet and boilies. I used flouocarbon hooklink and mouthtrap to make a hinged stiff rig. I experienced no problems with the crayfish, i could see that there where some in the lake but i do not feel that it is a problem if you use the right rig and avoid real hook baits. I fed 50 kg of partical and 20kg of boilies all week the fish fed all through the day... and evening night time i received regular action. I feel that with some crayfish and a good head of carp feeding regularly is essential for bites, most of my takes came from in front of the slipway area. Going back i would pick 4 or 5 spots and feed heavily with bait sticking to them for 3 days or so, try not to lose confidence.

The facilities whete excellent, made for a comfortable stay. Kitchen area is bigger than photograph show.

General Comments:

I top venue that will no doubt keep getting better, Bruno works hard and has created a perfect carp lake. I feel that im the Autumn alot of the carp at high twenties will be 30lb. The other great thing about deux illes is that there's a good stock of original carp which are heavily scaled and good weights these make for interesting fishing. During our stay we travelled to paris for lunch on a boat cruise. Left at 10am arrived back at 4pm . Paris is really accessible for a day trip and makes for a good change of scenery. The nearby town has a good tackle shop and brasseries as well. Its also easy to visit disney land on a return drive to Calais you can swap your ferry time and theres no cost. Overall i would loke to thank Bruno for helping us out this week, he make bait on demand and initially put me on the spots, its good to meet someone who is building a top carp fishery.

Fishing Particle was the most productive but we also used boilies.all fish were caught on artificial baits as the cray fish were active. Fish were caught from all over the lake open water and tight to islands and trees margin.

The shower block and toilet were very clean and the cabin was as good as expected
